@TedUrchin For me, it feels like serious people are in government again. That the corruption and deceit has finally ended. Its been wonderful reading how the new cabinet are cracking on with fixing their departments.

I think I’ve worked it out. It feels like I/we have got our country back. I’m not nearly so angered by the old man buying his copy of the Mail on Sunday or Express - he is just a silly old duffer, now utterly disempowered. My interest in watching England play football too (albeit I am not a football fan) is strangely renewed. The adults are back in the room, and I’m no longer embarrassed by us on the international stage. We have finally come to our senses. I feel patriotic again. Sure, there is a long way to go, but I am supremely confident and hopeful. 14 years of Tory government and their disastrous Brexit has sorely tested my belief in this country, and more than I’d imagined or thought possible. Does this resonate with you? I’d love to know.
