In full voice singing “When the Gas go marching in” over and over again. It’s only surpassed as the worst song by the IRA one. Unfortunately these now appear to be pretty much the only songs we sing. Like the football, the quality of songs are in serious decline imo.

Considering the size of the city, Bristol's football teams have always been abysmal underachievers.

@Official_BRFC So months spent and 420k to work out redeveloping the Mem would be tricky. Seems kinda obvious. Even if we find a different site for a new stadium it would take ages (4 or 5 years) to put in a planning application then build it. Basically it’s dead in the water.

@MeanStreets111 @Official_BRFC The design amendments following feedback from the first pre-app were all made but the club never put the redesigned plans back in with the council. Basically fully paused and 100% due to the club and not down to any 3rd party.

@MadeByTonz @SimonGould51216 @mancgas @Im_sprouticus No. Actually we hung around venue for a bit as knew would just be sat in a car not moving anyway. You just have to be patient and go with the flow! The traffic is what it is. The setting and gig will more than make up for it!

Has anyone been to a gig at Westonbirt and if so do you have any tips about getting out of the car park. Heard it’s a nightmare.

@SimonGould51216 @MadeByTonz @mancgas @Im_sprouticus We arrived around 6:45 ish last night. Bit of traffic que on main road getting in but nothing too bad!! Getting out took around 30 mins but we might have been lucky!! Great gig also btw! Elbow on fine form!

@mancgas @SimonGould51216 @Im_sprouticus @jasondarbygas I’m going on the theory of last in first out so will not go too early. Arriving half way through Billy Bragg would be my sweet spot. But that’s a risky game as I’ve heard it can be hard to get in as well as out.

@SimonGould51216 @MadeByTonz @Im_sprouticus @jasondarbygas We are aiming for 5.30. As for leaving it is what it is. Being in Blue Badge a smaller car park hopefully means shorter wait than general parking. But can be an hour at Beacon if you park badly so not expecting quicker.

@Im_sprouticus @jasondarbygas Yeah, I’ve always wanted to see Heaton live as he doesn’t seem to play around this area very often, so looking forward to it. Proper middle aged dad music but I love it!
