I’m a short-form video editor who prioritizes storytelling over effects. I started editing a little over a year ago. it’s grown into something I’m deeply passionate about enjoy doing. A post of mine recently reached way more people than usual on IG and I gained over 80 new followers( I don’t even take IG seriously lol)… Some people entered my DM just to tell me they loved my work, some spam-liked almost all my posts before following 😭😂, while some asked if I would be opened to hopping on a call with them and showing them how I get certain things done on Capcut and I even got a potential client message. What most people might not know is that moment before all of this happened, I was actually awake in the middle of the night overthinking my life. Questioning my decisions. Questioning if all the effort I put into my work is even worth it sometimes. Then I opened my Instagram. And somehow, reading complete strangers appreciate the same skills I’ve been doubting myself over completely changed my mood. It reminded me that sometimes we’re too hard on ourselves to even see how far we’ve come. As overthinkers, we are often our own worst critics. If I hadn’t read those kind words this morning, I probably would have had a heavy day and struggled to show up. That compliment you casually leave under a creator’s post and DMs hold so much weight and can completely uplift a creator's spirit when they need it most. Keep being kind. @RuthieeDavids Figuring out CapCut PC can be frustrating Buh once you do it’s sweet and easier Cause you’re literally looking at every feature at once

I got my MacBook in November last year… and if I’m being honest, a huge part of the reason was aesthetics👀👀. I was very comfortable editing on my iPad like madd😂😂😂 I also wanted to prove to myself that mobile video editors can actually make good money within a short period of time if they want..(the ‘they’ is me😛). But that’s not even the craziest part 😂😂😂 The craziest part was that, I couldn’t fully understand how to edit on PC because I didn’t want to depend on my monitor, so I kept editing on my iPad instead. On top of that, I used to spend almost 48 hours editing a 1-minute video because I didn’t know shortcuts or where certain tools were on CapCut PC. That alone discouraged me from editing on my MacBook 😭 At some point, I was mostly using it to play music because the speakers are insanely loud 😂😂😂 But eventually, I had to be honest with myself because why would I spend that much money on a PC and still not use it to increase my value or make more money? So last month, I challenged myself to edit solely on PC and my God… my iPad is now mainly for CODM 😭😭 Before I became a little comfortable with it, I suffered 😂 I was constantly on YouTube searching for every single thing. I even recently learned how to undo on PC 😂😂😂😂 Y’all really didn’t tell me what I was missing ooo. If you’re a mobile editor, please save up and get a PC. Personally, I’d recommend a MacBook 🌚🌚

The whole Ai is a little overwhelming.. so imagine a busy entrepreneur, will leave their business to start researching and prompting their ai tool on how to edit their videos so they can avoid paying, even the ai tools are not that very easy to get result at first try…. Mek dem avoid to pay now😭😭😭😂😂😂 ok ohh😂😂
