When he questioned the owner, the owner revealed that he had handed over the full ₹3 lakh to TMC leaders, including TMC Gram Panchayat leader Mana Kundu. Victim's father tried to file complaint against them but no one listened. After the change of Govt, the victim’s father went to the police station along with BJP leaders and filed a complaint against five TMC leaders. The owner later revealed that the TMC leaders had instructed him to transfer ₹1.5 lakh to the victim’s family through the bank while taking the remaining ₹1.5 lakh in cash for themselves. For TMC, even death is an opportunity for extortion.
