The End of the Affair (99): Multiple viewings but the same reaction. The ingredients are all amazing (the novel, Jordan’s adaptation, Ralph! Julianne!), but outside of the lovely photography and score, it’s almost there but doesn’t have the impact of the novel. Bloodless. B-

The version of “house” in the opening scene of Wuthering heights is way better than the one on the album.
It goes straight into what is Kind of a guitar riff, or an orchestral crescendo, but not quite,than right into Kale’s monologue.
