Imagine if we’d gone for Haaland or Alvarez instead in the next window 🥲

Looking back on it, Real Madrid 23/24 was an overrated season. Yes, they won the Champions League. Yes, they won LaLiga while missing three starters due to ACL injuries. Yes, they only lost two matches. But none of their players won the Pichichi, so does it really count?

Mbappe wasn’t needed anyway when Vini had emerged as the best LW in the world at the time. Apart from that, Perez has refused to sign players in January for the most fuckall reasons. Kroos retired in 24’ and Modric left in 25’ and we’re yet to replace their profiles.
Mastantuono is young and even made a good start before his injury while Rodrygo seemed content waiting for his chances at LW. I wouldn’t consider Trent a defensive signing given he’s better known for his abilities going forward. Huijsen is decent and will improve in the long run. Carreras was one of our best players before Alonso got sacked.

The transfer strategies only went wrong when he brought Mbappe.
When Benz left he brought in Joselu which to many did not make sense but it worked. Madrid had been buying rough diamonds in Brazil mixing them with young talent from Europe while allowing the elders to lead the team.
The final player to be bought in that winning strategy was Endrick with the assumption that he would take over where Joselu had left, unfortunately everything was abandoned to sign Mbappe.
Pérez could have taken that signing bonus of Mbappe and buy defenders and a midfielder. The next season we got 3 defenders that did not cut it and worse we got Eminem who for no reason Xabi preferred over Rodrygo. 🤔

Florentino Perez was already a very wealthy construction businessman when he took over Real Madrid in 2000.
He personally backed the club with his own assets, guaranteeing around 170 million euros so unpaid salaries, including players like Roberto Carlos, could be settled. It was also said that even small vendors around the Bernabeu were owed money at the time.
After that, Madrid’s finances were stabilised through his vision and leadership.
Today, Real Madrid is the richest football club in the world under him, and also the most successful club in terms of sporting results.
It is simply ungrateful to doubt that Perez made money using the club.

How much in valuation did Perez's company grew as Real Madrid's President.

@ManassehKa80435 @MadridSpot What kind of dumb argument is that?? Ancelotti tried for a year and couldn’t make it work, Alonso was initially onto something and we all know what happened. Didn’t have much expectations from Arbeloa anyway. Give them any elite coach and this bunch will achieve nothing together.
English

@MadridMusings @MadridSpot Coz it's the job of the manager to find away to make the team work
English

@MHassanFootball And Julian Alvarez will do terrible things to us in the next Clasico 😭
English

@itzmeash23 I’ve been hearing that too, but so is Perez at the moment. We’ve been dealt with the worst possible hand.

@MadridMusings Riquelme if elected will act as a bigger threat to Real Madrid.
+ He's all talk
English

Florentino Perez’s campaign is purely based on past glory and legacy. Enrique Riquelme promises new ideas. Every sane Madrid fan understands that the old ways are done. The way this club is run at the moment, we’re staring at another season of embarrassment.
There might be uncertainty in the case of Riquelme but as things stand, there isn’t much to lose. The past year at this club has been full of controversies and bad decisions that have tarnished the reputation of this club.
At the end of the day we all want Real Madrid to be at the top again and we can only hope this election brings the best possible outcome for the club’s future.

@theMadridZone @latigoserrano We don’t have enough CBs for Arteta-ball 😂😂
English

🚨 @latigoserrano: "If I say that I think your Real Madrid coach is Mikel Arteta, you have a choice: you can either deny it, or admit it, or you can just smile."
Enrique Riquelme:

Backing Carvajal over Hakimi was understandable. Letting Theo leave after just 1 season was a big fumble.

Real Madrid’s fullbacks, 2017/18.
English

@theMadridZone This man is next level delusional. Our biggest rivals have one of the best midfields in the world and are about to lineup with Raphinha, Alvarez and Yamal up front next season. Meanwhile, this senile old man still believes in his failed project.

@MHassanFootball The AI algorithm would be ‘whatever benefits Barca’.

Congratulations my GOAT 🐐
You’ve deserved this for a very long time.. now let’s go win the World Cup 🏆
VIVA RONALDO ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇵🇹

It means so much to us 🏆 YALLA NASSR! 🟡🔵

@theMadridZone If there’s anyone to blame for his fitness issues, it’s this clown board for not signing another CB.

🚨 BREAKING: Eder Militao BLAMES Xabi Alonso for his recent injury issues.
He believes Xabi rushed him back too quickly at the start of the season, after 2 seasons where he barely played.
He believes THAT is the reason for his 2 muscular injuries this season, that will make him miss the World Cup. @marca

English

I think #TheBoys finale was good - I kept my expectations fairly low after Game of Thrones and Stranger Things. The final season as a whole was quite rushed and a couple of storylines that deserved closure were untouched.
POTENTIAL SPOILER 🚨🚨🚨:
Gen V characters didn’t get their moment even though the story demanded it. Marie being an omega supe and a potential threat to Homelander was a missed opportunity. It’s understandable considering a lot of people didn’t watch that show.
English

@theMadridZone We had prime Ronaldo at the time. Now we have 10x Vini and ‘will not crash in the box number 9’ Mbappe 💀

The context of La Liga and opponents should be taken into consideration before saying that Mourinho will bring back his counter-attacking style to Real Madrid.
If that's the case, the opponents will certainly adapt to that, the same way opponents in the Bundesliga and Premier League adapted to Jurgen Klopp's counter-press and transitional playing style by just retreating into a low block, which seemed to be a problem for him—finding solutions against these types of defense— until he started to figure out solutions. Then Real Madrid will have to return to the starting point and find ways to dismantle these low blocks.
Most of the time, Real Madrid and Barcelona face low blocks in La Liga. Barcelona, with Hansi Flick, has the answer to that and has the elements to exert control in midfield and dominate the ball, and that's the way to win the league. On the other hand, Real Madrid doesn't have the balance in attack between runners and players who can operate before the backline. Additionally, the midfield isn't capable of controlling the game's events.
In a simple way, leagues are won by dominating the ball and being good in defense. Real Madrid has a problem with the playing style, the types of players, and the gaps that need to be plugged.
