Hell no. He’s a slob. Look at the tops of those cabinets. Look at the countertops. The house is a pigsty. I shudder to think of the bathrooms. Imagine the floors around the toilet bowls! The kids are likely feral. What are they up to while his day is consumed with creating content?

@HannahDCox @hollowearthterf For any SAH parent who says it’s the easiest job I guarantee the home’s a pigsty and the kids are feral. Either that or there’s enough money to outsource tasks normally done by the SAH.

It truly seems there may have been a mismatch in assigned roles.
Women are running circles around men both in education and obtaining employment right now.
Meanwhile, so many men swear being a SAH parent is the easiest and most desirable job in the world.
So let nature take its course - women can be the breadwinners and men can be in the caretaking role. I see nothing wrong with this.

He is 100% correct. When I was a stay at home dad it was the easiest most carefree, most relaxing time of my life. It was so rich and fulfilling being around my daughter all day every day, and then I would work nights after she went to sleep. All the women crying about unpaid labour are just gold digging grifters lying to you. It really is like a vacation.

@MarieIsabellaB @mattvanswol No. The goal of treatment is to get him to a place where he can understand the legal process and participate in his own defense. If he’s actively psychotic he can’t do that. Once able to understand/participate legal proceedings against him will proceed.

Federal mental health examiners of the DOJ's Bureau of Prisons have determined that the man who m*rdered Iryna Zarutska, Decarlos Brown Jr is:
"Not Competent to Proceed” in his federal case because he:
“Has a mental illness… and a mental defect”
DeCarlos Brown Jr. could now receive TAXPAYER FUNDED therapy, counseling, and medical treatment.
I'm so angry I can hardly see straight.
HE HAD 14 PRIOR ARRESTS.
Fourteen!!
There is a 73-month armed robbery sentence on his record.
THEY HAD EVERY REASON TO KEEP HIM LOCKED UP...
...and what did they do?
They released him on CASHLESS BAIL.
Then he m*rdered Iryna.
AND NOW...
...after st*bbing a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee in the neck on a train CLEARLY ON VIDEO TAPE FROM MULTIPLE ANGLES AND SAYING "I GOT THAT WHITE GIRL..."
...the same system is PUMPING THE BRAKES and nervous he's "too unwell" to face consequences.
State court already ruled it.
The federal examiners just signaled the same thing.
So the trial probably gets delayed.
Again.
And probably again after that.
Every delay is ANOTHER MONTH the system protects him from the accountability it FAILED TO DELIVER BEFORE HE M*RDERED IRYNA!!!!!
They couldn't be bothered to keep him off the streets when it might have saved her life.
Now they can't be bothered to make him face what he did.
Until Americans wake up and demand this system be torn down and rebuilt, there will be more Irynas.
We don't have to live like this.

Can anyone give specific examples of "idealized emotional connection" that are so unrealistic and yet commonly expected by women?
Aella's examples are very basic, like buying flowers or a candlelit dinner. But those don't seem difficult, harmful or unrealistic.

I’m the child of a boomer. I know how my friends and I were raised first hand. We raised ourselves. As did Boomers.
Widespread adoption of helicopter parenting didn’t take off until the 90s-2000s. That’s when things got nuts. Kids in the 70s and 80s roamed free. Watch any movie from the 70s and 80s and you’ll see kids unsupervised going all over the place. By the early 2000s that all changed.

Oh honey, if you only knew 😂. I’m as far from a bleeding heart liberal as they come. My father was also murdered when I was 7 years old. That has NO BEARING on the law. The LAW states that a defendant must be able to participate in their own defense. If a defendant is deemed mentally unable to do so they’ll be incarcerated in a forensic psychiatric facility until able to do so.

Boomers had their 8 year olds walk alone to the deli 1/2 mile a way to buy them cigarettes. Etan Patz was a 6 year old walking ALONE two blocks to his school bus stop when he was abducted and it was considered typical at the time. Children were routinely left to their own devices back in the day. There were public service commercials on TV saying “It’s 10pm, do you know where your children are?”
