@PWGTennant Credit card should do you fine! When I lived in Ontario as recently as 5 years ago, I never carried cash and never had an issue. Option to tip will be presented on the debit/credit machine when you pay out your bill. :)

there is, without a doubt, the sense in academia that if you struggle with mental illness, are disabled, that’s your problem—you simply can’t handle the “rigors” of the academy. there are endless performative shows of support, but when it comes down to it we’re often on our own.

Who knew writing could be so cathartic? Apparently everyone but I’m late to the game and traumatized so this is news to me.

I used to think academia was my calling -- the thing that I was meant to do. But I am increasingly thinking that my calling is going to the beach and I am meant to relax and enjoy a fruity little beverage in the sunshine.

Just when I start feeling like the most mediocre person on my planet, my RMT saves the day by telling me the knots in my upper back are the most prominent she’s ever seen. 😌
