Memorable 2021. Graduated with my Ph.D., earned my extraordinary ability award (Einstein things!), stayed+prayed at the edge as my mother battled COVID-19 & my brother underwent brain surgery, lost my grandmother on Christmas Day & more! Thankful to God through it all.

As a human service professional and social scientist, I’ve always found it absurd that rationality has been and remains the standard assumption for human behavior among many disciplines. Any HSP who has spent time in the field knows that human beings are not rational actors.

Grades are posted and I’m getting emails from a student asking why the date on the syllabus has always been the date on the syllabus. My response:
