@acububad @Kezmag_ Okay
So, from ESBS just take the straight tarred road going towards Loma Linda. Along the way you will see some car wash there, unity estate is just close to the car and Delight arena is directly opposite unity estate with a blue coloured fence and black gate.

Please read through and come for my help I am begging you😭😭😭
Retweet too please and let’s get help for baby Uzoma 😭😭😭
Baby Uzoma-jnr was born on 10 June 2026 at St. Catherine Specialist Hospital, Woji, Port Harcourt.
He was delivered via Caesarean section (C-section). During the delivery, I also underwent a fibroid removal surgery (myomectomy). The combined surgical procedure was billed at ₦1,000,000.00. Which my husband's HMO only covered the CS procedure and said it only covers one surgery per year, and my own HMO wasn't available at the time. (His HMO also said they don't cover Congenital Defect issues for babies. So we were left to foot the bills ourselves.
About 20 hours after birth (11 June), he developed a severe congenital defect (respiratory infection) and was immediately admitted into the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), where he spent a total of 2 weeks and 3 days (17 days).
During his admission, we incurred the following daily expenses:
- SCBU admission: ₦42,700 per day
- Medications & Oxygen: ₦27,300 per day
- Additional antibiotics: ₦11,500 per day
A week into his admission, further investigations became necessary. An Echocardiogram, consultant review by Prof. Chika Duru, and chest X-ray were carried out at a combined cost of ₦177,000, leading to the diagnosis of a congenital heart defect (Ventricular Septal Defect – VSD).
As his condition worsened, Baby Uzoma required a blood transfusion, costing:
- Blood: ₦50,000
- Blood transfusion/infusion: ₦18,500
Total expenditure at St. Catherine Specialist Hospital, Woji, Port Harcourt:
- SCBU, medications, oxygen and antibiotics for 17 days: ₦1,385,500
- Echocardiogram, consultant review and chest X-ray: ₦177,000
- Blood transfusion: ₦68,500
- Myomectomy ₦500,000
Grand Total Spent at St. Catherine Specialist Hospital: ₦2,131,000.00
He was subsequently referred for specialist care, eventually arriving at Balanka Hospital, where we:
- Paid an initial deposit of ₦200,000
- Paid ₦100,000 for another Echocardiogram performed by Dr. Obioma Amaewhule
- Paid approximately ₦209,000 on discharge.
Following discharge, additional medical expenses included:
- Medications: ₦43,000
- Follow-up review at First Rivers Hospital by Dr. Chioma Nnah: Approximately ₦42,000
Due to the complexity of his condition, Baby Uzoma was later transferred to Lagos for advanced cardiac care and is currently receiving treatment at Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals, Victoria Island. Upon arrival on 21 July 2026, we made a ₦500,000 deposit, while another ₦150,000 has been scheduled for a repeat Echocardiogram. He is presently being managed for dehydration and is receiving intravenous fluids while awaiting further evaluation.
Medical specialists have confirmed that Baby Uzoma requires open-heart surgery. After extensive consultations, we are pursuing treatment at Kovai Medical Center, India, where the estimated cost of medical treatment, surgery, travel (return flight tickets), accommodation, and related expenses is approximately ₦15.5 million.
Through the generosity of family, friends, and well-wishers, approximately ₦5.25 million has been raised so far, leaving a significant funding gap.
We also reached out to the Kanu Heart Foundation, who responded with a treatment option at Fortis Hospital, India, requiring approximately ₦14.2 million.
Unfortunately, this remains beyond our family's current financial capacity. Appeals have also been sent to other organizations, charitable foundations, and individuals in the hope of obtaining financial assistance or sponsorship towards Baby Uzoma's life-saving surgery.
However, we remain hopeful that, with continued support and God's grace, Baby Uzoma will receive the urgent surgery he needs and be given the opportunity to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
