@cwake1 I like that the interviews will be anchored in specific artefacts around which discussions can revolve. This is exciting!

@cwake1 Good. This is exciting. Definitions can be difficult to discuss, though. This is perhaps due to their inherent tendency to be theoretical, unless they are about tangible things. Philosophers spend their lifetimes defining happiness, satisfaction, quality, faith, fear, etc.

@MagedZakher Hi Maged. I am inspired by your utilisation of artefacts in semi-structured interviews. I am considering this approach supported by your findings. Please can I ask, when choosing to use those quotes, how did you decide on those over others. TIA (a frazzled student)

@MagedZakher Hi Maged, it’s interesting you think there is benefit from any of the quotes. I am thinking of using definitions as artefacts for interviews. It is still in the earliest of stages. I am learning PhD’s are slow growers 😂. I appreciate the reply! Thank you.

@cwake1 So I needed a text that talks about honoring parents, for example, and another that warns against loving family too much at the expense of putting God first. This was to create some sort of depth in the discussions to avoid socially desirable answers.
