It’s HOOPLA day at @HetheringtonPS 🎉💛 All primary Ss were mixed into groups with Ss from other grades and classes. Each group rotated through 3 different classrooms with an amazing activity happening in each! In 1F, Ss created contraptions that could catch the easter bunny!

MATH CENTRES! Last week 1F learned to represent multiplication equations by creating equal groups. Today, we practiced this new skill in the our 2 new math centres! 😁👍👏 @gecdsbpro @HetheringtonPS

Yesterday, I loved getting a chance to participate in the Hetherington “Celebration of Learning” assembly! @HetheringtonPS has so much to be proud of! The students, teachers, administrators, and support staff are amazing! 🦅✨💛🖤

The Spring-themed Pointillism lesson taught by my placement partner @Miss_Faubert was on POINT!🌷☀️ (pun intended) The students were so patient and relaxed while creating their masterpieces. 😌🎨 @HetheringtonPS @gecdsbpro

@HetheringtonPS 1F is filled with even more estimation awesomeness! Students can pick up a handful of rocks or create a chain link and ask their classmates to estimate how many items there are! 🔎🤔💭 @gecdsbpro

I had so much fun joining in for @HetheringtonPS ‘You’re the Chef’ cooking club! 🫑🌶️🥬🥙🫘The students did such an amazing job preparing the dinner and the food + the company was fabulous! Thanks @ToussaintGreene and everyone in the group for welcoming me. 🧑‍🍳🎉

GOALS session 2 “Flower Power” Week was a hit. This pic is from “flower dance tag” -if you get tagged by the person with the flower you have to dance on the spot until someone comes and does your dance with you! Our youngest GOALS girl was helping me get back in the game here.

Section 24 represented today at the pinning ceremony! (photo missing a few of my peers) These folks have been my classmates in all of my classes at the Faculty of Ed this year and I feel blessed to have watched them all thrive and excel! ✏️coming soon… to a classroom near you!

Miss Pins got “pinned” today! It was a wonderful welcome into the world of education. 🍎✏️🎨 It was so lovely to think about how soon my peers and I will all be entering the teaching profession. It felt so right to be surrounded by my supportive & inspiring teacher friends.

GOALS session 1 (Move, Groove, & Mindfulness) for Winter term was a blast! Disney Week: we had a get-to-know-you ‘Frozen’ paper snowball fight, a game of keep the balloon ‘Up’, a rocking Disney dance party, and 21 awesome girls!
