I try so hard to report calmly, I really do, but at the moment, morning til night, I’m filled with anger, with rage at a Government whose actions has resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of lives & whose indifference & arrogance prevents it from even acknowledging the fact
Boris Johnson at #PMQs today was like a toddler caught with his hands in the cookie jar, throwing a tantrum at the adult in the room for asking a few questions about what was going on.
I’m aware of how hysterical and melodramatic this sounds even as I type, but I can’t think of another way to say it:
All the lives lost in the coming second spike in infections will have been deliberately and consciously sacrificed by the government to protect Cummings & Johnson.
@mi6rogue@Keir_Starmer Johnson's life of privilege, being indulged by a doting dad at every twist and turn, doing whatever he wants whenever he wants, never obeying the rules and simply walking away when the going gets tough, has come to a shuddering halt with the arrival of grand inquisitor Starmer.
Shameless Boris Johnson hopes by Monday we will have forgotten he has ignored the rule of law, shut down journalists & deliberately put the health of the nation & lives at risk just to keep his adviser in a job.
RT to let him know you won’t be #MovingOn
"In my opinion, the rules are clear, and they have always been clear.
In my opinion, they are for the benefit of all.
And in my opinion, they apply to all."
Professor Van Tam, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England.

Just watched a tearful Syrian doctor talking on the news, here working in hospitals with Covid19 patients, who can't go back to his destroyed homeland. Now THOSE are exceptional circumstances. #DominicCummings#CummingStatement
Given that Mary was supposed to be self-isolating at the time the child was taken to hospital, why did she go with him, instead of the niece whom you’ve moved next to specifically for this very purpose?
Johnson's defence of Cummings is the same as Rees-Mogg's loathsome remarks about the Grenfell victims: if people obeyed the rules, they were stupid. It's the superiority of the spiv, and it's completely unforgivable.
The deputy chief medical officer, Jenny Harries, clarified in Saturday's press conference when exceptions to lockdown rules could be made. If there was "an extreme risk to life", she said.
*Nothing* in Dominic Cummings' story meets that criterion.
Nothing.
If the Attorney General @SuellaBraverman has been given that account, including the Barnard Castle eye-test, and feels able to advise the Cabinet with confidence that no breach has occurred, I would respectfully question her powers of legal analysis and judgement.
The Government has stopped releasing its Global Death Comparison slide (wonder why?) so we’ve published it for them – on an 18sq/m billboard on Westminster Bridge Rd. Unlike @BorisJohnson, we’ll be updating it over the coming weeks
