Pretty simple concept, albeit rare in the world. “A primary purpose of the First Amendment is to enable the press to publish what it will and the public to read what it chooses, free of any official proscription.” nytimes.com/2026/03/20/us/…

Months before the World Cup, FIFA is beginning to claw back the spare change it offered host cities for footing the bill. Giving real going to the bathroom when the check arrives vibes. share.inquirer.com/D86lQa

This all sounds exciting and genuinely well thought out as it's written here. Really rooting for it. That said, what's described here is a massive undertaking to do with 100 total staffers across all aspects of the company.
Max Tani@maxwelltani

As we first reported in last night's @semafor media newsletter, NOTUS is rebranding/dramatically expanding. In a memo to staff this morning, the organization said it plans to "launch this new version of NOTUS under a new name" and double staff from 50 to 100.

RE: A.J. Brown being traded. Most everything I wrote in the below column stands a week later: - #Eagles are assessing the market - Their asking price is believed to be 1st and 2d round draft picks (as I’ve learned since, at a minimum, although the swap can have multiple moving pieces) - There is a general sense that a decision needs to come before the league year (a then there will be a reassessment after the team makes their initial moves in FA) - The Patriots are the most likely suitors (and are interested) The Bills trading for WR D.J. Moore may have altered Brown’s value, which some league executives had compared to draft compensation received in previous trades for Stefen Diggs and DK Metcalf (essentially a 2d rounder) The Eagles likely want something closer to what the Packers got from the Raiders for Devante Adams (a 1 and 2) several years ago, as @AlbertBreer and I spoke about on my most recent podcast audacy.com/podcast/uncove… We also spoke about A.J. Brown’s supposed unhappiness and how there is nuance to that topic. The Eagles don’t see that as great an issue as some outsiders. I still believe whatever apparent standoff the Eagles are having with the Pats about compensation could be resolved, especially if the Ravens, Chargers or Colts have legit interest. But the clock is ticking.

INDIANAPOLIS — The #Eagles are assessing A.J. Brown’s trade market. Just don’t expect Howie Roseman to give him away. My column after a week of reporting on the possible trade at the NFL combine: inquirer.com/eagles/aj-brow…

Just a point of annoyance: Yeah, Nick Castellanos confirmed the beer-in-the-dugout story. But the real credit goes to @MattGelb, who had it & went to Castellanos & his agent for comment. Only then did Castellanos put it out there. Good reporting forced his hand. #Phillies

Rich is super talented. I’ve read his content for years, most recently every morning with his must-read newsletter. More than being an excellent writer and intrepid reporter, he’s a total professional and any outlet would be lucky to have him on staff.
Rich Hofmann@rich_hofmann

So, what's next? Dunno, I got a little time to figure it out. I do have one idea, though: What if I kept doing the same newsletter independently? Who knows, it might even be better. If that's something you might be interested in, drop your email here 👇 forms.gle/tThExie8pQb281…

If another talking head were expressing this opinion, fewer people would/should complain about it. But @AdamSchefter is an information broker at a (partially) league-owned network. So it's fair to ask if he's parroting someone in the NFL & what the quid pro quo might be. #Eagles
