Indonesia (even Singapore) is (are) leveraging on its (their) position along the Strait of Malacca, so why not Malaysia also benefiting from its geographical proximity too? In any case, it’s named / called the Strait of Malacca for a reason — that sea trade route has been used for centuries for international trade!
