@TechGirlZA Outside of the original Destiny lineup, there was MisteM who played for ATK and a handful of other international teams (2018-present). Then there was Domsterr who played for Denial and ATK internationally (2019), with very little success though.

I recently did a short format video about African Counter-Strike players who found international success for a campaign. It was limited to all of 3 or 4 players - all from South Africa. Feedback was it lacked diversity and didn't showcase enough players. So let's play a game. The goal post is a top 4 finish in a globally recognised CS event (not hosted on the continent). Other than the original BVD line-up that went to NA and Shazz, which other African CS player has achieved that? We'll keep it to CSGO and CS2.

@GreyBeardGG @bravadogaming Of course we should be celebrating this! Even if it doesn't have much to do with RLSA. Bravado have proven competent enough to do this multiple times across different regions and titles. It's a huge success story coming out of SA esports, and we're only in the middle of it!

So @bravadogaming are a South African born and run esport Org. They have a Rocket League team in MENA who are through to play offs on Quali 4. We should be celebrating this, no?

@boyoroyoRL Certainly expected. If there are 7 non SSA teams then there are 9 SSA teams. And if you're looking at the ~30th best player in SSA you're probably in the lower champ ranks. Our best will come out on top. 👍

@Darrangedd I recently saw a clip of some Modern Warfare 3 gameplay. I thought it actually looked pretty neat and wanted to try it out for old time sake. Freaking R1400 for the cheapest edition of the game. Absolutely mind-boggling prices these days.

LFT I've been playing on and off since retirement. Way past my prime but still pretty decent. Looking to get back into the grind ✌️

Epic will make the most horrible decisions known to gaming and esports and then try bandaid it with layoffs and budget cuts when things inevitably start falling apart. This company is a void that eats communities along with it's games. Very sad.

These RLCS changes really puts it into perspective how good we had it before 2024... The scene was built up so much in the last 2 years especially, its saddening to see it crumble to its foundation so quickly without knowing if its for the better or not. #BringBackRLCS
