In a back garden in Sheffield, England, a wildlife photographer named Simon Dell spotted a tiny mouse with a torn ear standing upright in his grass like a meerkat. He named him George and built him a small log shelter to keep him safe from the neighbour’s cat. Then George brought a partner. They had a baby. The shelter became a cottage. The cottage became a village. Today, hidden in his garden, there’s a fully working mouse town with handmade wooden doors, post boxes and dining tables. About ten mice live there.

Here’s an idea. Instead of national service, which is obviously idiotic, how about kids working on farms.
