India’s great Prime Minister Modi held a high-level meeting yesterday. In the meeting, he called all the MPs and ministers. The entire country was expecting that, with the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, increasing inflation, and the difficult situation faced by poor people, small business owners, street vendors, and rickshaw pullers, the government would announce some relief measures or make an important decision. But the interesting part is that Prime Minister Modi told his MPs and ministers: “The heat has increased a lot, so all of you should drink more water.” And then the meeting ended. Tell me, can there be a more caring Prime Minister anywhere? In a high-level meeting, he is advising his MPs and ministers to drink plenty of water. Now wait and watch. Today they are asking people to drink more water. India was already mixing 20% ethanol in petrol, and now the government plans to increase it to 30%. Slowly, after some time, they may even say, “Please drink less water too, we need it to produce ethanol.” Now it is becoming clear why the great Prime Minister does not hold press conferences. He probably knows that he may not be able to answer even five serious questions. If questions are asked about development, education, national security, healthcare, and corruption, then he himself might need to drink plenty of water.

NEET छात्रों से मुलाक़ात में एक बात बिल्कुल साफ़ हो गई - भारत का युवा नरेंद्र मोदी पर भरोसा नहीं करता। उन्होंने मुझे बताया - पेपर WhatsApp और Telegram पर खुलेआम बिक रहे हैं। किस कीमत पर बिक रहे हैं, कौन ख़रीद रहा है, माफ़िया कैसे काम कर रहे हैं - यह सब इन बच्चों को पता है। उनका एक ही सवाल था - जो हमें पता है, वो सरकार और संस्थाओं को क्यों नहीं? सच यह है ये बच्चे सरकार से बेहतर जानते हैं कि इस सड़ी हुई व्यवस्था को कैसे ठीक किया जा सकता है। और दूसरी ओर कितनी शर्मनाक बात है कि जिस सेना का काम दुश्मनों से देश की रक्षा करना है, आज उसे मोदी सरकार के अपने भ्रष्टाचार से बच्चों के पेपर बचाने भेजा जा रहा है। टुकड़ों के सुधार से अब काम नहीं चलेगा। छात्रों, शिक्षकों और Experts के साथ मिलकर पूरी परीक्षा व्यवस्था नए सिरे से बनानी होगी। हम और बच्चे नहीं खो सकते। और एक भी पीढ़ी का भविष्य इस भ्रष्ट तंत्र के हवाले नहीं कर सकते।

Read this story. Carefully. CBSE called for OSM tenders thrice. Zero bids the first time. No qualified bidder the second time. And finally, the technical bar was lowered until COEMPT could clear it. Scanning resolution cut. Robotic scanner requirement dropped. CMMI certification lowered from Level 5 to Level 3. Penalties for errors in answer sheets removed. TCS, India’s biggest IT services company, qualified in the third round too. TCS lost. COEMPT - a company with a spectacular track record of failure - won. And what are CBSE students complaining about today? Badly scanned answer sheets. Missing pages. A broken evaluation portal. Teachers had warned CBSE that the OSM system needed at least a year or two for further preparation before nationwide implementation, yet it was rushed through. So I ask again - who wanted COEMPT to win? Who lowered the bar, step by step, until this company could clear it? Pradhan ji and CBSE say “due process was followed.” That is not an answer, that is not accountability. The question is whether the contract was honestly awarded to the best company which could do the job correctly. The futures of 18.5 lakh children were handed to a company that could only qualify after the rules were bent for it. To the BJP Ministers attacking me for asking questions - I have, from day one, demanded an independent judicial probe. Expand it from CBSE to every contract awarded to COEMPT. Our youth deserve the truth. And Modi ji, your silence on the CBSE debacle and inaction against the Education Minister tells the country what you actually care about - not the futures of lakhs of students, only the survival of your own government.

Today, I went to Lok Bhavan and, in the absence of the Governor, handed over my resignation letter from the post of Chief Minister to the Governor’s Special Secretary. As someone who was born and brought up in a small village, I had never imagined that one day I would become an MLA, a Minister, the Leader of the Opposition, and serve twice as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. A dream this big became possible only because of the Constitution written by Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Buddha, Basavanna, Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Mahatma Gandhi have always shown me the path. Through my forty-eight years in public life, I have always tried to stand with honesty beside the poor, the oppressed, the neglected, and those who were denied opportunities in society. That is the greatest satisfaction of my life. I will forever remain grateful to the party legislators who trusted me and chose me to lead, to my cabinet colleagues who walked with me through every challenge, and to Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi, and AICC President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge for believing in me and giving me this responsibility. But above all, I bow my head before the people of Karnataka, the lakhs of affectionate hearts who treated me as one among their own, blessed me, encouraged me, corrected me, stood by me in difficult times, and held my hand throughout this long journey. Whatever I am today is because of you. The Constitution is my religion, and the people are my God. My resignation is only from the Chief Minister’s post, not from public life or from my commitment to the people. Till my last breath, I will continue to fight for social justice and stand against divisive communal forces that go against the spirit of our Constitution. Thank you for your love, trust, and companionship through every step of this journey. ❤

A denial is not an answer. Why are the Education Minister and CBSE unable to answer the four simple questions I have asked? The future of 18.5 lakh students have been put in jeopardy. They deserve the truth.

One needs to be absolutely shameless to be in BJP. CBSE played with lives of 18 lakh students, NTA played with lives of 22 lakh students under Dharmendra Pradhan as Education Minister. But he has the audacity to attack Rahul Gandhi Ji who is fighting for these students.

ಇಂದು ಲೋಕಭವನಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಅನುಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಬೆಳೆದ ನಾನು ಮುಂದೊಂದು ದಿನ ಈ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಶಾಸಕ, ಮಂತ್ರಿ, ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕ, ಎರಡೆರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂಬ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂತದ್ದೊಂದು ದುಬಾರಿಯಾದ ಕನಸು ನನಸಾಗಿರುವುದು ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದಿಂದ. ಬುದ್ಧ, ಬಸವ, ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬರು, ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರೇ ನನ್ನ ಆದರ್ಶ. ನನ್ನ ನಲವತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಡಿನ ಅವಕಾಶ ವಂಚಿತ, ಶೋಷಿತ, ಬಡ ಜನರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿದೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಾಸಕಾಂಗ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಆರಿಸಿ, ಈ ವರೆಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜನಸೇವೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲಿಗೆ ಹೆಗಲಾಗಿ ದುಡಿದ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವರಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಸೋನಿಯಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ, ಎಐಸಿಸಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಬದುಕಿನುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ತುಂಬಿದ, ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಸಿದ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಹೃದಯವಂತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಚಿರಋಣಿ. ಸಂವಿಧಾನವೇ ನನಗೆ ಧರ್ಮ, ಜನರೇ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲಿನ ದೇವರು. ನನ್ನ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಸೀಮಿತ, ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರು ಇರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಕೋಮುವಾದಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ❤
