Visited Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune to give inaugural address at Cooperative Digital Summit. Spoke on Bharat's Future Ready Cooperatives:Leveraging Digital and AI. Digital transformation can fundamentally change the way cooperatives function.

It was wonderful to visit Kaundinya Ship yesterday at the Western Naval Dockyard,Mumbai. Kaundinya is a traditionally constructed "stitched" sail ship launched in February 2025 by the Indian Navy, is based on a 5th century CE merchant ship depicted in Ajanta Caves.

Gave Inaugural Address at the 60th annual conference (Diamond Jubilee) of the Indian Econometrics Society (TIES) at Shivaji University at Kolhapur. Spoke on global and Domestic Challenges and Opportunities to achieve the 2047 goals for the Indian Economy.

The new Consumer price index with base 2023-24 provides the current consumption patterns (a) updated weights (b) included new consumption items like e-commerce , digital (c) less volatile as weight of food declined (d) in line with international standards. Useful for policies.

India-US trade agreement is a win-win deal for the two largest democracies. The interests of our farmers have been safeguarded.Genetically modified soybean and maize have not been permitted, Rice, wheat, dairy, meat/poultry, ethanol have not been given India’s market access.

The US-India trade deal is a big achievement. It is a huge opportunity for both the largest democracies. For India, it will lead to higher exports, growth and global capital flows will come to India. Rupee will strengthen. Will also lead to higher employment generation
