Dan Bello has said the hard truth many people avoid.
This is not about one evil nephew or the arrested killers. This is about a society we allowed to decay. We blame politicians, religion, tribe, government. Anything but ourselves.
While excuses has thrived, corruption normalized, mediocrity celebrated, and children raised to obey without thinking and act without conscience, a mother and her six children were slaughtered in their own home.
We are not bystanders. We are part of the problem.
The blood of Fatima and her babies is on the hands of every adult who looked away, who said 'it's not my business', who kept quiet because it wasn't 'our people'.
Enough with the tribal and religious gymnastics.
Enough with outsourcing morality to government houses we already know are rotten.
Our graveyards are full because our conscience has been empty for too long.
If we keep lying to ourselves, making excuses, and pretending this is someone else’s problem, the next graves will be dug by our children or for them.
Dan Bello is right. We share the blame. Until we accept this truth and start fixing things from our homes, nothing outside will change.
May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace, and may God grant their family strength.
And most importantly, may we finally wake up.
