Al repasar los tres años como Embajador en Cuba, me siento profundamente honrado y orgulloso de haber tenido la oportunidad de ser parte y testigo de la continua consolidación y profundización de las relaciones amistosas especiales entre China y Cuba. En ocasión de mi despedida, ¡formulo sinceros votos por la prosperidad de China y Cuba, por la felicidad de nuestro pueblo, y por la profundización y consolidación de la construcción de la comunidad de futuro compartido China-Cuba! Me gustaría agradecer a los amigos de todos los sectores de Cuba por su profunda amistad, y agradecer a muchos amigos y personas en la plataforma X por la interacción y el apoyo mutuo. ¡Hasta pronto, La Habana! I am about to return to #China upon completing my three-year tour of duty as Chinese Ambassador to #Cuba. Looking back at my time in Cuba, I am privileged to be able to participate and witness the further consolidation and deepening of the special and friendly relationship between our two brotherly countries. I wish prosperity and happiness to the peoples of China and Cuba and I am convinced that we will see more fruits as we work together to build a community with a shared future. I continued to perform my public duties during my last full week in #Cuba 🇨🇺. 1. Received and handover the first of 7 shipments by sea of rice donation from the Chinese government at Mariel Port. @MINCEX_CUBA 2. Paid a farewell call on the President of @AsambleaCuba at Capitolio. 3. Handover three solar power parks totalling 12 megawatts donated by the Chinese government. @EmbChinaCuba

China entregó el proyecto de asistencia de central solar fotovoltaica de 12 MW a la parte cubana, consta de tres parques solares, sincronizados al Sistema Eléctrico Nacional de Cuba. China seguirá prestando asistencia al desarrollo económico y social de Cuba dentro de su alcance.

Today the Security Council adopted a resolution on #Gaza ceasefire. The sponsor stated that Israel has accepted the ceasefire proposal. Our understanding is that as long as a ceasefire is achieved, no more fighting will be launched again. The immediate realization of a permanent ceasefire has been the strong appeal of China and other Council members for months. And this has been the most pressing aspiration of Gazan civilians in deep sufferings. From the perspective of the urgent need to stop more killings and alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe, China voted in favor of the draft resolution.

Local police in #Jilin have arrested a 55yo man who attacked four foreigners with a knife yesterday at a local park. They said the man bumped into one of the foreigners and then attacked them as well as their Chinese companion who tried to stop the man. From the statement, it sounds as though maybe there was an altercation after the attacker bumped into the group that might have escalated. I’ve been hearing some pretty hideous suggestions as per motive online so I’m glad it doesn’t sound as though those are true.

China doesn't accept any illegal unilateral sanctions. The normal economic and trade cooperation between #China and #Russia will not be disrupted by any third party. China will take all necessary measures to defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday, in response to reports about the G7's plan to warn small Chinese financial institutes over transactions related to Russia.

I wish the victims a speedy recovery and I hope the perpetrator is swiftly caught and faces justice. China is extremely safe: this kind of attack is extremely rare, and is deeply shocking for Chinese people as much as anyone else. For anyone wondering why Chinese media aren’t reporting on this incident yet, you need to understand that China does NOT encourage speculation, rumors and scaremongering on incidents like this. Media in the West run with the “if it bleeds it leads” ethos. They would be interviewing “experts,” drumming up public fear and anger, contemplating possible motives etc before the victims have even reached the hospital. In China, clear and accurate information is preferred, especially relating to serious incidents like this. That takes time. I anticipate an official announcement this evening or so.

Very innovative fighting-desertification efforts which also require long term commitment.
