I met several of them and it was my first fanfest. They are genuinely some of the nicest people. They literally had handlers to drag them away because they kept talking and interacting with fans and not getting ready for their panels.

@ILucasK that really sucks, I'm sorry that happened to you. some of my most cherished stickers were from people who saw us outside of fanfest and came up to us unprompted to give us their wol stickers for free! 😭 they were just excited to share the love! 🥺

This FF14 Fanfest definitely had amazing people and amazing creators today. Only one person I had an awful experience was in sticker trading section where I was asking for free stickers since I wasn’t prepared and the person was like “yeah well you do know that the place is called sticker trading right? It’s kind of rude going around asking for stickers for free. We worked hard for these.” The person refused to give me any but I apologized and bowed and went away. I’ll be prepared next time. I didn’t know. 🥲

i keep seeing creatives in fandoms say things like “i have this great idea i love, but i think someone more talented should do it.” NO!!!! YOU are the talented person!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! making fanart and fics is not a contest, it’s a labour of LOVE!!!
