On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, teams across Mahyco came together to celebrate and engage with women who are at the heart of agriculture and our organisation. From the R&D farm at Ranebennur to production centres across six locations, the processing plant at Dhanora, business units across all four zones, and our Head Office at Dawalwadi, the celebrations reflected the collective efforts of Mahyco teams across the country. What made the occasion truly special was the grassroots engagement led by our Kisan Advisors, TBMs and field teams, whose tireless efforts enabled the organization of over 800 events across villages, bringing together more than 21,000 women farmers, farm workers, and students. Women farmers came together for mehendi and rangoli competitions, talent showcases, and musical chairs, while awareness sessions on health, hygiene, and the role of women in agriculture sparked meaningful conversations. Students reflected on the theme “Women in Agriculture” through essay competitions, and women employees shared their personal journeys of resilience and progress, creating moments where many women farmers felt recognised, appreciated, and proud of their contribution. At Ranebennur, the day was marked with a tree plantation symbolising growth and strength, while at the Dhanora processing plant, women workers proudly shared how their work contributes to their families and communities. Grow Indigo, our group company and a joint venture between Mahyco and Indigo Ag, is driving a first-of-its-kind initiative to provide carbon credits to rice farmers in Punjab and Haryana, with the first issuance expected by FY26. This initiative, covering 30,000 acres initially, rewards farmers for adopting sustainable agriculture practices such as direct seeding, low tillage, and improved water efficiency.
