Moscow’s Bolshoi theatre was built the same year the United States was founded. Let that sink in.

The Russians have turned our Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant – the largest plant in Europe – into an instrument of their war. They launch attacks from there against our cities and villages, store weapons, ammunition, and military equipment at the plant, mined its perimeter, and are effectively holding our city of Enerhodar hostage. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has already gone through a full blackout fourteen times. When the world deals with Russia, everyone must understand that they are dealing with a completely irresponsible – and in many ways simply reckless – force that must be truly constrained for the sake of the security of us all. That is why global sanctions must be strong, resistance to evil must be strong, and support for those defending lives must also be sufficiently strong. The very fact that the Russians even went so far as to strike the confinement structure that covers the remains of the fourth power unit with a drone shows that Russia cannot be a participant in civilized international relations. If the United States truly thinks about withdrawing from NATO, then European security will be based solely on the European Union. But not in its current form. I think that the EU is in a situation where it needs more countries. The UK, Ukraine, Türkiye, and Norway. These are four strong countries, which are part of Europe. Together, the UK, Ukraine, and Türkiye have armies that are stronger than Russia's army. Without Ukraine and Türkiye, Europe can’t match Russia. With the four countries on board you can wrest control of the seas, have secure skies and the largest land forces. It’s not about offense, because when Russia makes the decision to have an army of 2.5 million people by 2030, Europe has to think about security and how to preserve its independence. The UK once was a member of the EU. There are concerns about agriculture when it comes to Türkiye. But you can manage all of this if you have a really great economy.
