Balloon time! 🎉 Glad to be here and kicking still, despite how rough life has been over the past couple years. But I'll always strive to be a better person every day. Many thanks to those who choose to stick with this reaper. 💀🖤
@madeby_raven Thank you again so much. I just sent them a message asking for a final deadline, or I'd like a refund. I really appreciate the help and advice.
@MaidKitsune You’re being completely reasonable! Loving someone’s art doesn’t mean you have to wait forever without updates. Sending a polite message asking for a final deadline or refund is fair, and it’s okay to prioritize your time and money.
@madeby_raven Thank you very much for the advice and for letting me know it's valid. I'm truly not trying to come off rude to them, and I really did love their artwork. But, after so much time passed, it just has me worried.
Honestly, after 121 days and multiple missed deadlines, it’s completely reasonable to ask for a refund, especially since the original estimate was 75 days. I’d suggest sending a polite message asking for a clear final deadline or a partial/full refund if they can’t complete it soon. Communication is really important in commissions, so your concern is totally valid.
@MaidKitsune I would suggest asking for a refund now and considering working with another artist. If they refuse to give you a refund, you might also consider making a post about your experience and the lack of professionalism, since you’ve already been more than patient with them...
Still means a lot that you're taking the time out to give me advice. I've never really been in a situation like this with an artist before, and I buy a lot of art. Most artists will let me know when they are going to be late on a deadline or need more time. But this artist doesn't communicate with me at all, unless I message them first. Thank you so much for giving me your advice on how I should go about it.
I normally try to be patient because I understand life gets the best of us, and sometimes an artist can get caught up in a lot of commissions. But what annoys me is that I see them posting more of their auctions for their YCH art every other day. And I'm still waiting. Plus, the art wasn't finished on the deadline. They are starting it after, which confused me. And I've only seen one emote, which was a sketch on the ych lineart. I'm trying so hard to be nice and understanding. But, I'm to the point where I draw the line with them. And not to come off as rude to them either.
I’m not exactly your friend, but from an artist’s point of view, I’d say: drop them a message like this
Bro, I’ve had enough. You’ve already missed the deadline and I still don’t see any updates or progress. Deduct this much ($$) for the work you’ve done so far, and refund the remaining amount to me so I can get someone else to do the work on time.
(Btw How did you wait for so many days?)
Well, since I've forgotten the chronology of the timelapses xD I'm just going to put them in my folder as they appear :3 This one was made for @/Astra_kolbeck
