Always loved that since the AK-12 didn't exist at the time Metro 2033 was made, they made a hybrid of a P90 and an AK74.

I found more examples where the chainmail sleeve is loosely worn overtop of the plate rerebrace, so that it dangles stylishly out from under the pauldron like a skirt for the arm. And. oh. boy. it. does. look. nice. Mmm. Similarly to the puff and slash clothing of the 1400s, why not flaunt extra armor where you can afford it right! 😆 Before the 15th century, chainmail was usually always worn UNDER the rerebrace or was only worn as voiders in the gaps, so this stylistic choice of letting it dangle loosely overtop is not super common. In these images, I'm only assuming there are plate rerebraces under the mail sleeves because that would make it more practical for protection. Of course this stylistic choice is not as optimal as having the chainmail only where you specifically need it, hence why you typically see the reverse arrangement in most medieval examples. What do you think of the style choice?
