The Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) is engaging in routine technical rulemaking to make changes to the Rules for the Certification of Cannabis Testing Facilities, 18-691 CMR, ch. 5. A copy of the proposed rule and public comment form can be found here: bit.ly/45ldyeC

OCP is currently seeking applicants for its newly created Cannabis Hospitality Task Force! The task force will review how other states regulate cannabis hospitality establishments and draft policy recommendations for regulating them in Maine. Learn more: bit.ly/ocp-chtf

Happy Thanksgiving! Please note that most state offices, including OCP, will be closed November 23 & 24 in observance of the holiday. Staff will be available again during normal business hours starting Monday, November 27.

While 50 of the medical cannabis samples tested by OCP contained at least one contaminant that would have failed testing in Maine’s adult use program, samples could and did fail for multiple contaminants. Read more in the full report: bit.ly/ocp-reports
