@itohan_olat You paid for the knowledge. As a repairer myself, I let you know the cost of the spare material(s) and my service separately. I have once told a woman that the damaged component on her was 2k but my service fee was 6k. She opted out & I didn't bother. It was a home service.

I think I got ripped off yesterday. I went to Computer Village because my phone suddenly started showing “No SIM.” The repair guy collected it, checked it for two seconds and started speaking big grammar. “Network panel issue… we’ll need to loosen the entire phone… contact problem…” Then he said my bill was ₦15k. After bargaining like my life depended on it, we settled at ₦7k. That was when the performance started. This man carried my phone and began walking up and down Computer Village. From where I was sitting, I could literally tell he was just wasting time so the bill would look justified. About 20 minutes later, oga returned looking serious and handed me my phone. Boom — network restored. Only then did it hit me. This man did not “loosen the entire phone.” He didn’t repair any “network panel.” He probably just touched one tiny thing, cleaned a contact or reset something and collected ₦7k for vibes.😩🥲
