The liberal/left of all stripes needs to have a new approach, actually responding to the political developments of the 21st century. Stuff like Abundance from the libs is just fundamentally Third Way again and I can’t think of lefties who’ve even tried to present a new model

Over the past 5 years, I feel there's been a noticeable dropoff of Marxists/Socialist Left people talking about truly rebuilding the unions/labor movement. Even if they pay a bit of lip service instinctively, seems to be a broad sense of moving on past mid-20th century models.

@garflasange Like, Russia and Iran are duds, and they’re never going to get meaningful support from Europe, India, America, or whatever. There’s not really much they can do. If there’s no alternate outcome I can see the argument for just accepting the situation.

@garflasange I think the idea is just that nobody is ever going to support Armenia in this day and age and the best they can hope for is just trying to move onwards however they can; we’ll see if this WORKS (i’m doubtful) but my understanding is that Armenians are tired of endless conflict

Someone at a coffee shop in central Israel noticed a religious Israeli wearing a yarmulka with the flags of Israel and Palestine and called the Police on him. The Police detained him, cut off the Palestine flag from the yarmulka and then released him. mako.co.il/news-israel/20… The Israeli Police under Ben Gvir has largely stopped upholding the law (actual crime is out of control) and is functioning as a right-wing repressive organ.
