Spoke with 🇦🇿 FM @Bayramov_Jeyhun today. Expressed deep concern over the drone attack in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region. @MFAgovge has issued a statement condemning this act.

In my bilateral meeting with 🇦🇲 Foreign Minister @AraratMirzoyan , we reaffirmed our shared commitment to intensifying political dialogue, broadening economic cooperation, and advancing peace and constructive engagement at the bilateral, regional, and international levels.

Together with @PM_Kobakhidze, I was pleased to welcome the 🇦🇲 delegation headed by @NicolPashinyan for the 15th Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. We reaffirmed the significance of our strategic partnership and strong regional cooperation.

I spoke by phone with 🇦🇪 President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan amid recent regional developments, expressing sincere solidarity and hope for lasting peace. I also conveyed my deep appreciation for the exceptional friendship between Georgia and the UAE and reaffirmed our strong and growing partnership. 🇬🇪🇦🇪

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East with deep concern. We emphasise the importance of diplomatic efforts to achieve de-escalation and ensure stability in the region. We advise Georgian citizens to follow the official guidance and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety. Our embassies in the region remain fully operational and ready to assist Georgian citizens as needed.

On the 4-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, we reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine’s #sovereignty & #territorial integrity — and for a rules-based international order rooted in the #UN Charter & accountability for violations. 🇺🇦

Despite progress, grave challenges persist: #Abkhazia & #Tskhinvali region remain under occupation by the 🇷🇺. Residents face restrictions on fundamental freedoms, arbitrary detention & ethnic discrimination.

I also met with @osce_sg Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu to discuss the ongoing work of the Organization, support for Georgia’s security and democratic development, and ways to strengthen multilateral cooperation in the region.
