President Trump negotiated with one faction of a very fractured regime, which is why bombs are still flying while a "ceasefire" is in effect. Ghalibaf represents himself and his people. He doesn't represent the entire IRGC.

Take this with a big grain of salt. But I think, that the hardliners in Iran have been weakened (killed) to such a huge extent, that the IRGC is essentially powerless in terms of bullying the reformists. That’s why the ceasefire path was cleared relatively quickly and swiftly. Before, it used to be Iranian reformists wanting to deal with the west, remove sanctions, rejoin SWIFT, but the hardliners threatening and intimidating them to shut down any attempts. So the “regime change” terminology Trump is using may not be far from the reality.

I think you should just move on now that the war has ended… You’re overly obsessed… Everyone can move on and rebuild and everyone got what they wanted… The regime and system remains the same in Iran, Hormuz opens, Emiratis can wobble their hair to the presidents of US again… What more do you want… Go back to your wives and make love to them
