why do most CHINESE live in such ugly houses > like no hardwood floors > kitchen and bathroom looks like a damn hospital, and tiles literally everywhere. I’m of Indian descent, so no racism. but your houses are not comfy at all. some nice carpeting or wooden floors, warm colour walls, and use wooden cabinets plus granite in your kitchen ffs. my work’s kitchen looks more livable. I will never visit China

Çin’de, dünyanın en uzun köprüsü olan Jiaozhau Köprüsü'nden geçen Saadet Partisi Genel Başkan Yardımcısı Mustafa Yılmaz: Jiaozhau Köprüsü: -Uzunluğu tam 42.5 km. -Maliyeti 1.5 milyar dolar. -Devlet tarafından yapılmış. Osmangazi köprüsü: -Uzunluğu 2.9 km. -Hazineye maliyeti 12.5 milyar dolar!

🇨🇳🇲🇳Very nice photos between Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi and Mongolian foreign minister @BattsetsegBatm2.

Türkiye'den BYD'ye Tarihi Ceza Yolda... Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mehmet Fatih Kacır Şubat ayında yaptığı açıklamada BYD'nin Türkiye yatırımının öngörülen sürede tamamlanmaması durumunda yaptırım uygulanacağını söylemişti. Gazeteci Fatih Altaylı ise BYD sözünü tutmaması halinde fabrika yatırımı için belirlenen tutar (1 milyar dolar) ceza kesileceğini açıklamıştı. BYD'nin yaptığı son açıklamalar üzerine yatırımın durmasıyla Türkiyenin bu cezayı uygulamaya alması an meselesi.

In 215 BC, six years after he unified China, Qin Shi Huang traveled east to the northern coast, to a place known as Mount Jieshi (碣石山, literally meaning Big Rock). This eastern tour was both an imperial inspection and a quest for immortality. Facing the sea and the mountains, the first emperor in Chinese history left behind an inscription on stone, proclaiming his achievements and visions. Its general meaning was: "The First Emperor raised armies to punish the wicked, eliminate violent rebels, and restore order. Through military power, he destroyed tyranny and rebellion; through civil virtue, he protected the innocent. The people accepted his rule with genuine conviction and submitted willingly. He rewarded merit according to service, and his grace extended far and wide. The emperor displayed his authority and virtue, bringing the world into an initial state of peace. He therefore tore down old city walls, opened blocked rivers and dikes, and removed dangerous barriers. Once the land was settled, the common people were no longer burdened by corvee labor, and all under Heaven was pacified. Men rejoiced in their fields; women devoted themselves to their work. Every task had its proper order. His benevolence reached all forms of livelihood, allowing the people to live securely and each to find their proper place." Today, over 200 kilometers almost due east of Beijing lies a coastal city called Qinhuangdao (秦皇岛, literally meaning Island of the Qin Emperor). Unlike many place names that come from mountains, rivers, or old administrative counties, this name carries the shadow of the first emperor in Chinese history. The name "Qinhuangdao" can be found in books from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). According to local tales recorded in those texts, Qin Shi Huang once stopped here while seeking immortality. In modern times, foreigners began building villas here as summer retreats. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the area became something like China's Camp David: Chinese leaders often spent part of the summer here and invited experts over to vacation here as well. That also brought greater attention to this coastal city. As more people came, the ancient legend about Qin Shi Huang began to be reexamined: Did China's first emperor really stop here more than 2,000 years ago? Was the story of his stay and quest for immortality merely a later invention, or had the earth preserved traces of his journey? In 1924, Americans @NatAsianArt discovered architectural remains dating back more than 2,000 years in this area. In 1984, local cultural heritage authorities found column bases, wells, roof tiles and other remains. Archaeological work continued until 1991. Archaeological evidence suggests that this large architectural site was first built in the Qin dynasty and continued to be repaired and used in the Han dynasty. That finding echoes historical records of Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han traveling to the Mount Jieshi. Qin Shi Huang, of course, never achieved immortality. The inscription he left at Mt. Jieshi was filled with the vision of a new empire-order, territory, and peace. The immortals he searched for by the sea never came. Yet the place where he sought eternal life has left later generations with a different kind of mystery: Under the city now called Qinhuangdao, how many memories of China's first empire are still waiting to be uncovered? The first three photos show the remains of the main hall, along with a reconstruction model of Qin Shi Huang's temporary imperial palace. The image in the lower right features a Qin-dynasty brick decorated with the patterns typical of the era. It once bore the footsteps of Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han.
