One thing that Mnangagwa and Zanu PF can do us a favour in this term is to revisit the Local Government legislation; and if need be the constitution itself. To insert a clause(s) that provides for people with lifetime experiences to be elected as City Councilors. We need to bring back the law that landlords in charge of cities. The current laissez-faire democratic electoral process is now seeing maroja getting into councils to preside over city affairs that directly affect their landlords. Juveniles who have never had any working experience are presiding over multi-million budgets. In the past, people were elected on their personal profile of lifetime experiences and history of engagement in civic activities. Mature people who have a lifetime experience of managing a multi-million budget. Democracy has its limits. Anyone who comes from rural and has no much experience in city life can end up a councillor if he connects well with the political leader.

I saw this tweet which has since gone viral on social media platforms. It's unfortunate that there are some important details missing. The first question is who took him to court? It's also important for the author to state how he acquired the land. I could have asked the author directly, however I am failing to tag him.

The operative phrase is, “I PROPOSE….” In other words, “I put forward for consideration…….”

It's quite cynical that people who drive $200k landcruisers and don't pay tollgates suddenly feel someone who owns a $100k house is so wealthy they need to pay a 1% mansion tax, 96% import duty when they import a car, $5 dollars tollgate fees yet them that drive $200k landcruisers are "too poor" to pay the $5 tollgate fees, rubbish!
