@MakwinjaV I know, this is not a personal attack, if your genuine, thats good for you
English

@JonKalonga @JeromeChisikwa Which issue are you specifically referring to bro?
English

@MakwinjaV @JeromeChisikwa Isn't that reactive? And is that therefore competency?
English

@MakwinjaV If Airtel congratulated him as CEO of iMoSyS, that is an even bigger red flag. You cannot serve as the chief regulator of the telecom sector while actively running a private tech company.
English

Personal milestones are private. My point is about stndrd corporate governance. A senior post is a massive achievement on its own, so why didn't the Malawi Airlines CEO or BWB chair get this level of corporate PR? Monopolies only fund PR campaigns when it serves a busns interest.
Anabiyeni@anabiyeni
@GeorgeNgaunjeII Did Daud achieve the academic achievement Maya is being congratulated for?
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII You have shown weakness bro. You cannot engage someone intellectualy.
Sad thing about Malawian education when we ignore critical thinking. I see you have the same problem of lacking critical thinking skills.
Next time when you asked simple questions just answer those.
English

They should not have congratulated his PhD at all. Professional courtesy ended when they congratulated him for taking office. Celebrating his personal academic milestones crosses the line from courtesy into lobbying.
TRELAONE@MakwinjaV
@GeorgeNgaunjeII I agree with you in saying that personal achievementsare private. But here is the issue: the person who has been congratulated is both a private person and MACRA DG. Would you suggest that Airtel should have congratulated him without the position he holds? What
English

@JonKalonga @JeromeChisikwa Yes it did, but I just have to find out if your question is leading to the conversation on congratulations on his PhD.
English

@MakwinjaV @JeromeChisikwa Did the raise in such circumstances happen under his watch?
English

@Nkhondo_ @MalawiGovt @APMutharika @MACRAMALAWI The weakness you are showing is that you feel you are much better than everyone and those asking questions about how you are treating this issue becomes enemies. I mean any reasonable intellectual should be open minded to engage others without resorting to derogation.
English

@MalawiGovt @APMutharika If you truly care about us, reappoint Daud Suleman. He's the only man capable of running @MACRAMALAWI ... Leave politics aside and do the right thing for us.
Times 360 Malawi@Times360Malawi
#Times360Malawi MACRA has directed Airtel Malawi Plc and Telekom Networks Malawi Plc to compensate customers after the two operators implemented revised telecommunications tariffs without complying with the statutory seven-day tariff publication requirement.
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII Next time just have facts and present evidence of such allegations. Without thinking highly about your intellectual level without supporting with sound reasoning.
Thanks for the engagement. When you feel you are ready for an intellectual engagement am here.
English

@MakwinjaV Your timeline is pure emotional partisanship. You are not worth my time. I wouldn't be surprised if you're not using AI to engage with me. When you're ready to actually have a pro-development conversation, my account is public. Until then, I'd keep your comments off my posts.
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII That's the problem you showing. I am engaging you respectfully so that I understand your reasoning as in how you are able to arrive at such a conclusion.
Now, you say I am not worthy your time without answering a very simple question.
Anyway I have to respect your opinion.
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII Also, suggesting that the discussion is "over my head" doesn't answer the question. If the argument is sound, it should be able to stand on its own without questioning whether the person asking for evidence has capacity to understand/interrogate it or not.
English

@MakwinjaV You are asking what a telecom company would want from the agency that dictates their tariffs, issues their licenses, and controls their fines? Fascinating. If basic regulatory capture is a mystery to you, this conversation is way over your head.
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII Again, there is a difference between saying Airtel has an interest in MACRA as a regulator and saying this particular message was an attempt to influence regulatory decisions. Do you have any evidence to support this assertion?
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII I am not disputing that MACRA regulates Airtel. That is a matter of public record. What I am asking is much simpler and it is this, what evidence do you have that this congratulatory message constituted lobbying rather than corporate courtesy?
English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII I agree with you in saying that personal achievementsare private.
But here is the issue: the person who has been congratulated is both a private person and MACRA DG. Would you suggest that Airtel should have congratulated him without the position he holds? What
English

@CapitalFMMw @MACRAMALAWI When an organization and it's leadership stands for the plight of people we must commend such efforts.
Kudos to Dr Nkoloma and your entire team for ensuring Malawians fairy treated.
English

Social political commentator Ceasor Kondowe has praised @MACRAMALAWI for directing TNM and Airtel Malawi to refund customers who were charged higher tariffs without proper notification.

English

@GeorgeNgaunjeII @xellencendoya I want to understand the veracity of your logic, TNM or Airtel congratulating Namambala as minister of information when he got his PhD, meant Airtel and TNM had something sinister behind the scenes?
Now think similarly with the case for Maya.
English

@MakwinjaV @xellencendoya It is not an assumption; it is standard corporate governance. Show me one instance where a bank funded a PR campaign to congratulate the Reserve Bank Governor, or an entity praised the ACB Director for a personal milestone. Oversight requires a strict arm's-length distance.
