… transparency is not a static ambition – as government evolves, so too must the systems that protect the public’s right to know.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent events in the Middle East. Many Islanders have personal or professional connections to the region and will understandably be concerned for family, friends and colleagues. At a time of heightened uncertainty, our priority is to ensure that Islanders have access to clear and reliable information. Anyone who is considering travelling to the region, or who has close connections there, is strongly encouraged to consult the latest advice issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (link below). Country specific travel and consular guidance is being updated regularly as the situation develops. The Government of Jersey continues to monitor events closely through established channels. We remain in regular contact with UK authorities and will provide further updates should additional guidance or support for Islanders become necessary. We recognise that events of this nature are distressing. Islanders who are worried or directly affected are encouraged to seek support and make use of available services. Our thoughts remain with all those impacted, and we will continue to keep the situation under close review. gov.uk/government/org…
