Staff from 11 Scottish prisons took part in @RecWalkScot last weekend. We were delighted to stand alongside many of our partners who provide invaluable support to people in our care. Together we walked to raise awareness, reduce stigma & celebrate recovery journeys.

@KevinNeary12 @scotgov @scottishprisons Also they could start looking at the reasons behind shoplifting, theft, drug use etc and deal with the issues rather than sending them to prison.

If the @scotgov wants a solution to the overcrowding in @scottishprisons My suggested solution would be to stop recalling people on licence back to jail for failing a drug test. Those on licence are discriminated against regarding recovery options and support. Simple eh!

Crib update! The @heavysoundCIC Community Reach & Inclusion Bus #2 is in the final stages of completion by staff & residents at HMP Edinburgh and will be out in August 🙌 The Crib #1 is going back into the prison shortly for some final TLC @scottishprisons @vruscotland ❤️
