In the wake of this year’s #VictoriousFestival , I’m pondering buying tickets for next year. I enjoyed the line up, but it did feel a bit over nostalgic at times, with many of the “bigger” acts being bands from my youth and pretty much still doing the same songs. It was lacking a few “current” artists this year. Saying that, if I were to pick the headliners for next year, I think I’d go with @royalblooduk @the_prodigy and @KasabianHQ. They would absolutely smash the term “headliner”. I don’t do politics often on here, but I believe that EVERY MP should undergo security vetting, the same as all members of the Armed Forces do, and anyone who fails that process should NOT be permitted to undertake any parliamentarian role in HM Government!

I won't lie, it's sad my most liked posts ever on here have to be me talking in defence of people with Tourettes. NOT THAT I WILL EVER STOP DOING THAT! I just wish if I was ever to gain attention again it could have been for my drumming or something else cool separate from Tourettes. One day I would like to be know as that cool tech/drummer guy and not the guy who shouted chicken on a BBC documentary 😅 Anyhow, on with educating people about Tourettes!

Yes, it’s unlikely we would get any US display teams given that they have a national anniversary event. There are a few replacement team options though, even discounting the US teams. We haven’t seen the Turkish Stars for a long time, since maybe 2008 ish? Of course, if there’s a like for like replacement we may see the Saudi Falcons return with a nostalgic Reds display.

@Mali_AvGeek No great loss in my opinion, over hyped year on year. But no F22 display, Thunderbirds or Blue Angels either as they have all confirmed Stateside shows for July. As it's "fighter" year get all the old jets... Harriers, A10, Tornados etc the jets which have some character.

I’ve seen some (unconfirmed) social buzz around the news that the @rafredarrows will not be displaying at #RIAT this year. I know many are disappointed by the news. I understand why people might be disappointed, they are a firm favourite with so many RIAT patrons, but…. it’s also nice to see something different and there is now a space to fill! It also means so many others will have a chance to see the Reds, who otherwise may never have been in a position to have the opportunity! The Reds will be back and I’m sure many of you will see them at other shows/fly past events ☺️ #sharingiscaring So, the question now is who will replace them? What would be your dream team to replace the Reds this year? #avgeek #RIAT26

I respect your opinion and thank you for interacting to share your thoughts. However, taking into account what you have said - if everyone applied this principle to their national display teams and said they should only display on their own turf, RIAT wouldn’t have much of a show. It’s an international air tattoo, not the “Red Arrows and Friends” show. I really do think the Reds show more than enough commitment to supporting UK events.

I remember being so moved by this. There really was something so wonderful happening in this moment, that it totally overshadowed the guy who went on to “win”. Not the type of post you will usually see from me but this absolutely breaks my heart. They gave everything so we and many others could live in our countries without fear. With every WW2 veteran’s passing, the memory of what went before is further eroded. Those who remember or those who have been brought up to know what went before should do everything they can to ensure the story continues from generation to generation! And those who know what went before, but don’t care - shame on you!
