@luxemiaa It got to a point where people stopped inviting me to hang with them because my mom would say no if a parent wasn’t there. This is when I was is high school. I’m 21 now and still feel behind on friendships and street smarts because of how much my mom kept me from things.

This woman shared on Instagram: My daughter is 13 now and has started to ask to go places with her friends. Am I doing too much by not allowing her to go unless I’m there? 😩 I hate to be the strict mom.
