Shebeshxt’s attorney, Michael Khumalo, says he is 99% confident they will win the rapper’s High Court bail appeal. The matter was heard at the Polokwane High Court on 27 May and will continue on 12 June 2026. Khumalo says they are prepared to take the fight all the way to the Constitutional Court if necessary. He also dismissed claims that he used AI to draft legal arguments, urging reporters to verify facts before posting.

Close friends fear for Moshine as drug battle deepens after Witness The Funk split Close friends of Durban musician Nhlakanipho “Moshine” Shongwe have raised concerns over his wellbeing, saying the artist is struggling with drug addiction and desperately needs help following his dramatic fallout with music collective Witness The Funk (WTF). According to a close friend, people around the musician have been worried for years as his personal battles allegedly spiralled behind the scenes while his public image continued to grow in the entertainment industry. “He has not been okay for a long time. We are genuinely scared for him now because things seem to be getting worse,” said the friend. “People have tried to help him over and over again. He has been in and out of rehab and there were moments where everyone thought he was getting better, but the addiction keeps pulling him back. Right now he needs support more than anything.” The concern comes after Witness The Funk officially confirmed that they had parted ways with Moshine. The split follows allegations made by a woman on a podcast, where she claimed that at the height of his career Moshine allegedly spiked her drink and sexually assaulted her before allegedly paying R70 000 for the matter to be buried with the help of singer Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane. In a statement, Witness The Funk confirmed that all ties with Moshine had officially been cut, saying the decision was reached after extensive efforts to salvage the relationship failed. The collective admitted they had invested “time, effort, chances, and grace” into trying to preserve their working relationship with Moshine, but ultimately accepted that continuing together was no longer possible. The group also issued a firm request to promoters, publications, bookers and entertainment industry stakeholders to stop associating Moshine’s name with the Witness The Funk brand in bookings, events, promotions and media coverage. “At the end of the day people can judge him, but those who know him personally know he is fighting serious demons. Everyone just wants him to get help and survive this.” buzzlifenews.com

This with the help of singer Bongekile "Babes Wodumo" Simelane. The popular music collective Witness The Funk (WTF) has officially confirmed its split from member Nhlakanipho Shongwe, widely known as Moshine, putting an end to growing speculation among fans and industry insiders about the future of the group. The statement made it clear that the decision was not taken lightly, revealing that both sides had exhausted efforts to make things work before ultimately deciding to move forward separately. An insider revealed he has been battling drug addiction for years. "He has been in and out of rehab. Everyone has tried," the source said. Allegedly, he sexually assaulted a woman, then Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha forced the lady to drop the charges. Now the African magic voodoo is dealing with him, he’s a “phara” now 💃🏽💃🏽🥳🥳

𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗜 𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗛𝗫𝗧 𝗕𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗟 The Limpopo High Court in Polokwane has raised concerns over the alleged use of artificial intelligence in Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke’s bail appeal application. Judge Pillay said supplementary facts submitted before court should be treated with caution, stating that the advocate who provided the information was not the legal representative appointed in court on Wednesday. The judge further indicated that the claims may have been AI-generated or otherwise unverified. The court subsequently postponed Shebeshxt’s bail appeal application to 12 June 2026 at 9am. #LimpopoChronicle

“We Deeply Regret Our Actions” — Two Women, StockoSaMcd and Hosiame Apologise After Viral Video Showing Them Recklessly Handling Unlicensed Firearms Lebogang Maji (23), known as “StockoSaMcd,” and Hosiame Chaane (22) have issued apologies after a viral video showed them mishandling and cocking what appeared to be unlicensed firearms. Both women are currently in police custody facing charges linked to the Firearms Control Act, with investigations continuing into the circumstances of the incident. Police confirmed the two were seen in a viral video handling firearms in a reckless and negligent manner, sparking public concern. Authorities said they are being investigated for illegal possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, as well as being found in possession of a hijacked motor vehicle during the same ongoing inquiry. The women face charges under the Firearms Control Act, including unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, along with possession of a hijacked motor vehicle. Police said investigations are continuing as they remain in custody while authorities finalise all related inquiries linked to the viral video and surrounding criminal allegations. In an official statement, StockoSaMcd’s management team apologised, saying, “We would like to sincerely apologise for the recent video and images circulating.” The statement added, “Holding and displaying what appeared to be a firearm in public was reckless, irresponsible, and showed poor judgment,” acknowledging public concern and criticism. In her personal apology, Chaane stated, “I take full responsibility for my actions,” adding, “Regardless of the circumstances, my behaviour may have sent the wrong message.” She also said, “I deeply regret any discomfort, fear, or disappointment this has caused,” while apologising to her family, colleagues, and the public. Police confirmed both women remain in custody as investigations continue into all charges. Authorities said legal processes under the Firearms Control Act will proceed, while further inquiries are conducted into the alleged possession of illegal firearms, ammunition, and the hijacked vehicle connected to the case.
