1995 version hits different. That grainy, oversaturated, almost nauseating palette + the way the sky literally screams orange when Sahaquiel drops = pure existential dread in motion. The Rebuild one is technically cleaner, sure... but it's like someone took the panic attack and gave it a color grade & a therapist first. Original Sahaquiel feels like the world is genuinely ending. Rebuild feels like the world is ending... but in 4K with lens flare. Sorry 2009 stans, the therapy-core glow-up took away the soul 🧡
