The extraordinary enthusiasm, the genuine warmth, the spontaneous emotional outpouring of ordinary people at yesterday’s padyatra and janasabhas have moved me in ways that words can only approximate. This is a bond, forged over years of standing together through every challenge this land has faced. The victory of Maa-Mati-Manush is no longer a matter of prediction. It is a matter of time. This sacred land of Bengal has, since time immemorial, stood as a beacon of harmony, culture, and civilisational pride. It has no place for divisive, destructive forces who seek to deprive Bengal of its rightful dues, tarnish its heritage, and ride their lust for power over the dignity of its people. They will receive the only response they deserve. A decisive, democratic reckoning from the vigilant and united people of Bengal. The momentum of development has touched every corner of this state. No malicious force can halt it. Our people-centric welfare initiatives are the protective shield of Bengal's citizens, and no power on earth has the authority to snatch them away. I remain firmly confident that the people will continue to stand for Bengal's development, peace, and progress as they always have. To protect our language, our culture, and the proud legacy of this land, I humbly appeal to every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or background, to press the Joraphool symbol on 29th April and ensure a resounding victory for all Maa-Mati-Manush candidates.

Deeply saddened by the demise of legendary photographer Raghu Rai. Through his lens, he captured the very soul of India for over half a century. His deeply moving frames leave behind an unmatched legacy. He had deep connections with, and a book on, Kolkata. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and followers.

Today, the people of Howrah Madhya, Kolkata Port, Bhabanipur made a declaration. The spontaneous participation, the energy, the sheer presence of the people have made one truth impossible to ignore. The mandate of Bengal stands firmly, proudly, and irrevocably with Maa-Mati-Manush. In this sacred land where all religions, all communities, and all voices have always coexisted in harmony, the people have spoken with a resounding, unified voice that there is no place here for divisive, Bangla-Birodhi BJP. No place for those who come to this land with hatred in their hearts and hollow promises on their lips. Bengal chooses development. Bengal chooses dignity. Bengal chooses progress. I earnestly appeal to every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or language, to press the Joraphool button and deliver a resounding victory for Arup Roy from Howrah Madhya, Dr. Rana Chatterjee from Shibpur, Nandita Choudhary from Howrah Dakshin, and Firhad Hakim from Kolkata Port. Together, we will realise the vision of a Swanirbhor, prosperous Bengal. Together, we will accelerate the pace of development that has already transformed millions of lives. And together, we will ensure that this land remains what it has always been. Free, harmonious, and its own.

Hon' ble Mr Prime Minister, Pained to ask: is this the way how you describe the meritorious students of the esteemed Jadavpur University? Is this your concept of decorum and courtesy? Jadavpur University has been receiving top ranks from your Government’s NIRF ranking framework year after year, and you descend to insult that centre of excellence? You stoop so low? The students of the Jadavpur University have earned their place through merit and walk out with degrees, with intellect, with the ability to question. That is not anarchy. That is education and that is excellence. Anarchy is not students raising their voices. Anarchy is using bulldozers as instruments of power instead of justice.
Anarchy is when farmers die and their voices are crushed.
Anarchy is when those convicted of rape and other heinous crimes walk free for political convenience.
Anarchy is denying the poor their rightful dues.
Anarchy is dividing a nation along religious lines for votes.
Anarchy is refusing to face the press, refusing accountability, refusing questions. Anarchy is refusing to acknowledge that Manipur is burning but you are busy with elections. Students protesting do not constitute a breakdown of democracy - it is democracy in motion. Please do not defame the educational institution which was inspired by our early nationalists including Sri Aurobindo as a pioneer. Please do not defame Bengal.

Across Chowrangee, Bhabanipur, Jadavpur and Tollyganj, I saw people turn out with clear intent, determined, united, and ready to defend Bengal, its identity, and its future. Those who believe they can run Bengal from Delhi, dictate its politics, divide its people, and distort its culture are deeply mistaken. This land has a long memory and a stronger spine. Those sitting in Delhi, plotting to snatch Bengal’s rights and impose their agenda, should understand it clearly that the people of Bengal are watching, and they will respond through their vote. Every attempt to undermine Bengal will be met with a decisive democratic pushback. This election is about resisting a systematic attempt to weaken Bengal and control it. Development has reached every doorstep in Bengal despite constant obstruction. Our welfare schemes are lifelines, and no force, however powerful it believes itself to be, can take that away from the people. Bengal stands tall today, for progress, for peace, and for dignity. The love and trust of the people are our greatest strength. They drive us forward and will defeat every attempt to weaken Bengal. I urge every citizen to rise above differences, stand united, and vote to protect Bengal’s language, culture, and future. Vote for Nayna Bandopadhyay in Chowrangee, Debabrata Majumdar in Jadavpur, Aroop Biswas in Tollyganj, and every Maa-Mati-Manush candidate.

Today, I attended janasabhas at Amdanga and Haripal, and led a padyatra covering Shibpur and Howrah Dakshin in support of our Maa-Mati-Manush candidates. The resounding uludhwani of our mothers and sisters, and the thunderous applause of our brothers, charged the air with an energy and emotion that words can barely capture. It is on the strength of this love, and with these blessings, that we press forward in our mission for Bengal's development. The zamindars sitting in Delhi have long treated Bengal as an afterthought, a state to be exploited during elections and ignored thereafter. The BJP makes sweeping promises to Bengal every five years, yet when the time comes to deliver, they withhold funds that rightfully belong to this state and its people. This is a deliberate betrayal. The people of Bengal have seen through it, and they will no longer accept it. Outsiders cannot understand Bengal, its soil, its soul, its centuries of culture and resistance. They come here with the politics of division; we answer with the politics of development. Trinamool Congress has stood by the people of Bengal through every storm, and we will continue to do so. This election is Bengal's moment to speak. To protect our heritage, our rights, and our dignity, I urge every community, every faith, every language to vote for Peerzada Kasem Siddiqui from Amdanga, Dr. Karabi Manna from Haripal, Dr. Rana Chatterjee from Shibpur, Nandita Choudhary from Howrah Dakshin, and joraphool candidates across Bengal. The time has come to democratically, decisively, and permanently bid farewell to the BJP from Bengal.

The soil of Bengal has always been a nurturing ground for harmony, brotherhood, and the conviction that we are stronger together than apart. There is no place here for hatred, division, or the toxic politics of those who profit from both. The spontaneous presence of people from every community, every caste, every religion, and every background at today's public meetings in Haldia, Barrackpore, Jagatdal, and Jorasanko speaks louder than any speech. They stand with Maa-Mati-Manush. They stand for Swanirbhor Bangla. This unprecedented turnout has instilled fear in the Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars who have built their entire political existence on division, discrimination, and hatred. Those who seek to undermine democracy, impose dominance, and defile this sacred land will be resisted by the people of Bengal with the full force of their democratic will. To preserve Bengal's culture, civilisation, and heritage, I appeal to every voter to cast their vote for Smt. Tapasi Mandal from Haldia, Shri Raju Chakrabarty (Raj) from Barrackpore, Shri Somenath Shyam Ichini from Jagatdal, Shri Vijay Upadhyay from Jorasanko, and every single Maa-Mati-Manush candidate across Bengal. The true driving force of democracy is the unity of ordinary people and their belief in a better future. Let us march forward on this path, with pride, with dignity, and with our heads held high.

Today, at the public meetings in Murarai, Khardaha, Beleghata, and Maniktala, I was deeply moved by the affection, blessings, and love of the people. The spontaneous participation, enthusiasm, and energy of the masses made it abundantly clear that the victory of Maa-Mati-Manush in the upcoming elections is inevitable. Across Birbhum, North 24 Parganas, and Kolkata, and all over Bengal, people stand united in favour of development and progress. There is no place on this sacred soil for divisive and authoritarian forces. The people are ready to deliver a democratic response to all Bangla-Birodhi conspiracies, and are firmly committed to preserving the path of development and harmony. Those who seek to snatch away Bengal's rights, undermine democracy to capture power, and defile this land must be firmly resisted. As long as the Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar remains, no one will be able to halt the welfare initiatives meant for the people. To safeguard Bengal's language, culture, and heritage, I appeal to all, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, to vote for the Joraphool and elect Mosarraf Hossain from Murarai, Rajendra Prasad Singh from Nalhati, Emani Biswas from Suti, Chandranath Sinha from Bolpur, Fayezul Haque (Kajal Sk) from Hansan, Devdeep Purohit from Khardaha, Kunal Ghosh from Beleghata, and Shreya Pandey from Maniktala.

Today, the soil of Bengal spoke. At Tarakeswar, Kalna, Monteswar, and Bardhaman Dakshin, I spent time with my people. The warmth I received, the voices that rose in unison, the faces full of resolve, I carry all of it within me. This is not merely an election. This is Bengal's answer to those who wish to divide us, diminish us, and dictate to us from afar. The people of this state have never surrendered their dignity. They will not begin now. In this Bengal of harmony, of syncretic culture, of centuries of coexistence, the politics of fear and hatred has no ground to stand on. The Bangla-Birodhi forces may conspire. But Maa-Mati-Manush will prevail. I appeal to every son and daughter of this soil to protect Bengal's language, protect Bengal's culture, protect Bengal's future. Cast your precious vote for Ramendu Singha Roy from Tarakeswar, Becharam Manna from Singur, Dr. Karabi Manna from Haripal, Deboprasad Bag from Kalna, Swapan Debnath from Purbasthali Dakshin, Rabindranath Chatterjee from Katwa, Siddiqullah Chowdhury from Monteswar, Apurba Chowdhury (Achal) from Mangalkot, Rasbihari Halder from Memari, Khokon Das from Bardhaman Dakshin, and every Maa-Mati-Manush candidate standing in this election. Bengal's democratic spirit is unbreakable. Let us vote to keep it that way.

It is deeply unfortunate that the Prime Minister chose to mislead the nation rather than address it honestly. Let me put this on record. Trinamool Congress has always championed higher political representation for women. We have the highest proportion of female elected representatives in both Parliament and the State Legislature. In the Lok Sabha, 37.9% of our elected members are women. In the Rajya Sabha, we have nominated 46% women members. The question of opposing Women's Reservation does not arise and never has. What we are fundamentally opposed to is the Delimitation exercise that the Modi Government was plotting to push through by using women as a shield for its vested political agenda. What we are fundamentally opposed to is the altering of Babasaheb Ambedkar's Constitution, the division of this nation and the usurpation of power through gerrymandering, by redrawing political contours to hand greater representation to BJP-ruled states at the expense of others. This is an assault on federal democracy. And we will not watch it happen in silence. If this government was genuinely serious about this noble cause, why did it wait nearly three years after the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill on September 28, 2023? Why rush it through when several states are in election? And why couple it with Delimitation? Trinamool Congress has stood for women for decades. We will continue to. But we will not be lectured on a subject that the ruling dispensation neither understands nor respects. And Mr. Prime Minister, the next time you address the nation, have the courage to do so from the Floor of Parliament, where you are subject to scrutiny, challenge and accountability. What you did yesterday was cowardly, hypocritical and fork-tongued. You can feel power slipping through your fingers. And you are prepared to go to any extent to hold on for just a little while longer. That is all this was.

Janasabhas at Cooch Behar Uttar, Cooch Behar Dakshin, Dum Dum, Dum Dum Uttar, and roadshow at Durgapur Paschim were a luminous expression of people's boundless faith in a politics that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. In every face, in every pair of eyes, was written a steely conviction and an indomitable resolve to protect the Bengal we have built together and secure the future we deserve. Bengal has always been a symbol of peace, unity, and harmony. There is no place for hatred, division, or conspiracy on this soil. There never has been. And no matter how much misinformation is unleashed or confusion manufactured, the people of Bengal will always choose development over destruction, progress over propaganda. Setting aside every distinction of caste, creed, and religion, I appeal to each and every one of my mothers, brothers, and sisters to vote for the Joraphool and secure a massive, historic victory for Partha Pratim Roy from Cooch Behar Uttar, Sablu Barman from Mathabhanga, Sailen Barma from Natabari, Shib Sankar Paul from Tufanganj, Avijit De Bhowmick from Cooch Behar Dakshin, Harihar Das from Sitalkuchi, Kavi Dutta from Durgapur Paschim, Bratya Basu from Dum Dum, Chandrima Bhattacharya from Dum Dum Uttar, and every Maa-Mati-Manush candidate across Bengal. Together, we will keep Bengal's unity and culture intact. Together, we will prevail.
