Today marked the exciting launch of the ThinkTech program for our Grade 7 students, ushering them into a hands-on exploration of the digital frontier. Throughout the sessions, learners will transition from passive consumers to active creators.

The Shaping Futures leaders program for Grade 6 commenced this afternoon with an energy that was both focused and vibrant. The learners were given the opportunity to interact with various games and cognitive challenges designed specifically to stimulate their minds.

The first virtual exchange session between students from the University of Konstanz and local youth of Mamelodi on Friday offered a profound cross-cultural perspective on the multifaceted challenges of social media.

This week, the Ready for Work training started, presented by staff from Digital Youth ICT Academy, Tsholofelo Mogale and Siyabonga Dhludhlu. Participants are eager to acquire essential skills that will enhance their job prospects.

This week, basic computer training was conducted by dedicated volunteers and students from the University of Pretoria. Thank you goes out to Bhekumuzi Phala, Charlotte Magata, and Nomthandazo Kenene for generously giving their time and expertise to assist community members.

NSFAS, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, rolled out the 2026 grant applications at the Mamelodi campus. The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr. Nomusa Dube-Ncube, attended the event.

Early Childhood Development Phase practitioners of Mamelodi joined the students enrolled for the module Pub 120 to discuss creating a storybook for the ECD centres. The session was organised in collaboration with the Mamelodi campus.
