@TheGoodOneLA @pcgamer No, it doesn't. I only said that they don't care about genres. That doesn't imply that they've tried anything, lol. And no one is morally obligated to try other games just like metalheads aren't morally obligated to try other genres of music.

@TheGoodOneLA @pcgamer I would also say your analogy to cinephiles doesn't work. Games are deep enough that a person could literally spend a lifetime trying to master them and never hit the skill ceiling. That alone justifies putting a lot of time into one game. Movies don't often work like that.

@TheGoodOneLA @pcgamer No, it's an arbitrary purity test. A medium is just a medium. Metal is a form of music, but I would never say a metalhead is someone who doesn't truly enjoy music. They may just have a strong preference for one genre.
