May 16, 1963. Gordon Cooper was orbiting Earth alone inside a capsule barely big enough to turn around in, moving at 17,500 miles per hour. He had been up there for over a day. Then the warnings started. First a faulty sensor screaming that the ship was falling โ€” it wasn't. He switched it off. Then something far worse: a short circuit knocked out the entire automated guidance system. The one that kept the capsule steady. The one that was supposed to bring him home. Without it, reentry was nearly impossible. Too shallow an angle and the capsule would bounce off the atmosphere back into space. Too steep and it would incinerate. The margin for error was razor thin โ€” and every computer that was supposed to hit that margin was dead. Down on the ground, NASA engineers watched the telemetry in silence. They could see everything going wrong. They could fix nothing. Cooper didn't panic. He uncapped a grease pencil and drew lines directly on the inside of his window to track the horizon. He looked up at the stars he had spent months memorizing and used their positions to orient the ship by eye. Then he set his wristwatch. Because when you have no computers left, you become the computer. At exactly the right moment โ€” calculated in his head, confirmed by the stars outside โ€” he fired the retrorockets. The capsule shook. The sky turned to fire. For several minutes, no one on Earth could reach him as plasma swallowed the ship whole. Then the parachutes opened. Faith 7 hit the water just four miles from the recovery ship โ€” the single most accurate splashdown in the entire Mercury program. The man with a wristwatch and a few pencil marks on a window had outperformed every automated system NASA had. We talk a lot about technology saving us. And it often does. But Cooper's story is a quiet reminder that behind every machine, there still has to be a human being who can look out the window, think clearly under pressure, and decide what to do next. The final backup was never the software. It was him.

Open invitation to @Steve_Laws_ to jump in a space with me later in the week, debating the delusional stance, that ALL people of colour should be deported??

Imagine this baby being born without a head and stabbed to death with a knitting needle, as he or she is being born. It is now legal to do so in Britain. Our leaders are savages. But everyone who voted Labour is an accomplice in every murder of the innocents.

I'm proud to live in a country where a Hindu PM can worship outside Downing Street and a Muslim Mayor can worship in Trafalgar Square. @NJ_Timothy and Tommy Robinson - why do you hate it so much?

I still can't get my head around this, who in their right mind would carry a baby to full term only to murder it days before bringing into this world. Why anyone would want this passed as law really needs to take a long hard look at themselves

The Lords voted 185 - 148 in favour of abortion up to birth. Peers also rejected an amendment to reintroduce in-person medical appointments before women can obtain abortion pills by 191 - 119.

It begs questions, doesnโ€™t it? How are they going to kill these babies who is going to kill these babies? Will they harvest their organs ? Who benefits financially from the harvesting? These people are sick and lost how can any human in their right fucking mind pull a baby from my motherโ€˜s womb and just murder it? and in passing this into law - everyone who voted yes is a baby killer sick evil bastards

Last night the House of Lords voted to decriminalise abortion up to birth. It will now pass into law. I believe this is a very dark day for our nation. Would you have voted for this ?

I donโ€™t know if youโ€™ve noticed, but Iโ€™m not afraid to speak my mind. So Iโ€™ll ask it straight. What is it in Reform policy that you actually disagree with? Not personalities. Not MPs. Not media narratives. Policy. What specifically donโ€™t you like? Incoming ๐Ÿš€

The Archbishop of Canterbury has said that legalising DIY abortions up to the point of birth is โ€œlegally, morally, and practically complexโ€. It isnโ€™t โ€˜complexโ€™. Itโ€™s WRONG. Killing a 39 week old baby is morally indefensible. No Christian should find that hard to say.
