One thing I notice time and again with young #CS2 players: Many can describe their goals. Fewer can describe how to get there. “I’m motivated” is easy. “I’m too aggressive after the first contact and am working on holding my position instead of chasing after the next duel” gives the team something concrete to test. That doesn’t prove the player is good, but it makes the first impression much more meaningful.

Grinding and improving aren’t the same thing. Hours matter, but not on their own. The better early signal is whether a player can explain what goes wrong, why it happens, and what they’re doing about it. That self-awareness matters more than hours logged. #CS2
