
Interesting: Islamic Pakistan renames and restores landmark sites in Lahore to their pre-Partition names, including Hindu-linked names. (The changes may seem cosmetic and virtue-signalling after post Partition a small Hindu population was marginalised and reduced to second class citizens in Pakistan but are still a welcome change). For example, Babri Masjid Chowk renamed to Jain Mandir Road. In ‘secular’ India, renaming politics at times going in opposite direction as we look to erase a key period of our history to score political points.
