🫖 Some tea about Megsy 🫖 Last week I was seated on a plane next to a really interesting guy from LA who works with leading fashion, cosmetics and lifestyle brands - an LA native who attended Beverly Hills High School. His partner (who was sitting in front of me) is perhaps better known. My seat mate knew a lot of celebrities but he seemed very grounded about the LA scene because he grew up in it. After a bit of chitchat, I asked him what I ask many people. “What do you think of Meghan Markle?” He was a little guarded, which surprised me. After a few minutes, he admitted that he knew her quite well and saw her socially. I was gobsmacked. Spill the tea! Gimme the dirt! He started by saying she has always been lovely to him and he hasn't seen a nasty side to her. If you say so, I thought. He believes she’s very self-focused in a highly strung way, but not narcissistic. I politely refuted that. He said he saw her when she was pregnant. I refuted that too, pointing out her basketball-shaped bump, and he didn’t argue when I suggested she absolutely would have done a nude photo shoot if she’d been pregnant. He thinks she wants to live a billionaire lifestyle but can’t because they just don’t have the money. She spends it like water and the trappings of Hollywood are incredibly expensive to maintain. They apparently have minimal security with just one bodyguard each, and not that much around their property. Certainly not rotating shifts 24/7 or patrols. And he thinks she and Harry are both damaged from their backgrounds and bring that to their relationship. So it was fascinating to hear an insider’s perspective, even if I didn’t agree with everything he said. I just wished I’d asked him if he’d ever seen the kids. I might reach out to him. He’s easy enough to find.
