The Doom Wings suck as a gameplay concept because they don't offer anything interesting other than just flying over the level Playing without them makes every level so much more fun to play because you actually have to engage with the level design

“Themes and such” is honestly such a magnificent slander tool that’s probably gonna get used a lot from now on. You can the most complex themes in fiction ever made, but if you botch them or if you’re story’s shit or unsatisfying, then they’ll mean jack shit.
