Greenland is becoming geopolitically priceless for USA Why Greenland suddenly matters? Earlier, Arctic was frozen, Sea routes unusable, No one cared much Now, Ice is melting, Arctic sea routes are opening, Ships can move between - Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean through the Arctic This makes the Arctic a new global highway. Greenland sits right in the middle of this. Geography shocker most people miss ( Very Strategic location) Greenland is much closer to the US than to Denmark. Distance from Washington DC to Nuuk is less than Nuuk to Copenhagen So, US sees Greenland as a direct security zone. Denmark is far away, US is next door. China is already Part owner in a Greenland mining company, Trying to enter Arctic trade routes Russia - Arctic neighbor, Long-standing polar military presence As Arctic opens up - US fears China entering its backyard, Greenland becomes the choke point. US military already controls Greenland security Important fact >> In 1951, US and Denmark signed a treaty - US is responsible for Greenland’s defense US maintains - Pituffik Space Base (earlier Thule Air Base), Part of NORAD missile and space tracking system So, US already acts like Greenland is strategic territory. Trump wants formal control, not just presence Dark Cold War history there - Two shocking facts. Nuclear weapons scandal Denmark had banned nuclear weapons on its soil. Later discovered - US had secretly stationed nukes in Greenland 1968 nuclear crash - US B-52 bomber crashed near Thule, Carrying four hydrogen bombs, One bomb was never found, Radiation spread occurred This shows - Greenland has long been part of nuclear strategy How big Greenland really is? This is where people underestimate it badly. Greenland area About 21.6 lakh sq km India area About 32.8 lakh sq km So, Greenland is two-thirds the size of India, Only 56,000 people live there. Bigger than India’s 10 largest states combined. Largest island in the world. Minerals are the hidden gold. Greenland has 25 out of 34 critical minerals. Needed for - Defense systems, EV batteries, Chips, Modern technology Earlier, Ice made mining impossible Now, Melting ice, Easier access, Lower cost. This makes Greenland strategic treasure. Political status of Greenland. Greenland is Part of Denmark But high autonomy Timeline: 1979: Home rule 2009: Right to independence if people choose Now: Strong independence sentiment Own parliament Own government This year: Greenland may vote on independence This creates a window of opportunity. Trump’s calculation Trump sees - Denmark is weak on control, Greenland wants independence, China is moving in, Arctic is opening So he thinks - Make an offer Greenland cannot refuse Or strike a deal during transition If US pays Denmark - Looks colonial, If US pays Greenlanders directly - Each citizen becomes multi-millionaire Some estimates - Deal value up to $1.7 trillion This is not new for America US history - Louisiana Purchase, Alaska purchase from Russia. Alaska was mocked then. Today it is priceless. Trump sees Greenland as The next Alaska

Why I Think Kamat Hotels Could Be an Interesting Bet : Back in 2017, the company was burdened with around ₹600 crore of debt and had to undergo restructuring. Over the past eight years, it has steadily deleveraged, bringing debt down to just ₹95 crore. Management has guided for further reduction to about ₹50 crore gross debt by year-end. Because of the debt overhang, capex was on hold for years. Now, with a healthier balance sheet, expansion is back on the table. Key Count Progress 2016: 1,200 Keys 2023: 1,500 Keys 2024: 1,600 Keys 2025: 1,700 Keys 2026 (Target): 2,600 Keys Most incremental keys are being added through leases and revenue-sharing. Asset Base Support The company also owns two hotels with a combined market value of not less than ₹300 crore. If required, these can be monetized through sale-and-leaseback / mortgaged to unlock capital for further expansion without stressing the balance sheet. Investment Thesis - Strong legacy brand in the hospitality space - Cleaned-up and healthier balance sheet - Asset-light capex revival already underway - Significant owned asset base providing flexibility - Valuations still reasonable relative to growth trajectory Taken together, this makes Kamat Hotels a potential value pick in the mid-cap hospitality space. Disclaimer: Invested.

They fought, they bled, they conquered fear. From Abbakka Chowta to Kanaklata Barua — India’s unsung daughters who defied empires and carried the dream of freedom. Let’s remember the women who made history but were forgotten by it.

Please suggest a car. Mostly city driving, once in two months on highway. Monthly average 800 km. Needs: Good boot space, good ground clearance, safety, 5/7 seater. Budget up to 25L (max). Need suggestion on fuel too. Petrol but worries about E27, or Diesel and worries about DPF and Isobutanol. Not buying immediately. Can wait up to 6 months in case any upcoming car is better.

Get some Knowledge :- Why Blackouts Are Done During War: 1. Avoid Visual Detection by Enemy Drones/Satellites: Even with GPS, satellites and drones still use visual and infrared sensors. Light blackouts in cities make it harder for enemies to identify targets for bombing or missile strikes at night. 2. Jamming or Denying Electronic Signals: Blackouts may include electronic signal suppression to prevent: Enemy surveillance or hacking Drone guidance Precision strikes using GPS 3. Protection from Cyber Attacks: Blacking out internet or comms reduces the risk of cyber warfare (e.g., hacking power grids or critical infrastructure). 4. Military Movement Concealment: Troop movements or vehicle convoys are harder to track without active digital footprints or city lights aiding visual surveillance. 5. Civilian Safety: Prevents panic-inducing media or miscommunication. Makes civilians less of a target by minimizing exposure. 🛰️ But What About GPS? While GPS provides location data, it can be: Jammed or spoofed during electronic warfare. Useless if the system is denied access to the satellite (military can restrict GPS accuracy during wartime). Complemented by visual and thermal targeting, which blackouts help counter.

Is #PahalgamTerroristAttack a classic "Squeeze Trap" by China? Is it a clickbait to trap India in an infinite proxy war? Is opposition's sudden rise of nationalism and demand of immediate action part of that plan? Has Modi sensed it? Follow @deepdownanlyz and Read Thread

Sri Lanka won the 1996 ODI World Cup final on March 17th. They defeated India twice in the tournament, including in the semi-final. After the SF defeat, Indian fans threw objects and bottles onto the ground and set fire to the Kolkata stadium. Indians cried after the defeats 🇱🇰🏆

@ViratTheLegend Ask @manoj_dimri to watch the interview again. Ro was trying to describe a situation where he said that imagine if i decide to bat on a certain day where i actually should be bowling then that decision would look bad in hindsight. He wasn't referring to Bumrah's decision to bat🤦
