I am honored to be a part of the first Virtual English Language Educator Program cohort! I taught English and American culture to wonderful university students and professors who taught me about Ukraine and the strength of its people. Want to know more?

Having the opportunity to meet Violetta, a wonderful professor I have been working with virtually in Ukraine with English Language Programs, was such a pleasure! We had the day to explore Washington, D.C. and get to know each other better. It was a very special day!

Today I had the opportunity to be a presenter at a webinar for English Language Programs Virtual Educators. I was honored to be a part of the webinar because I love what I do and appreciated the opportunity to let others know about this wonderful program. @ELPrograms
It has been a year today, a year of pain and loss, yet the courageous people of Ukraine continue to teach the world what it means to be determined. Wishing peace to my students and their incredible country. 🇺🇦
The presentation at the TESOL International ICIS webinar went well. Such powerful stories, especially from Ukrainian educators in Ukraine. They are my superheroes for their resilience and dedication. I teach from the comfort and safety of my home. They do not. 🇺🇦 ❤️

@MsStoermann Thank you, Christy. I love the project I am doing. It definitely has its challenges, but it is incredibly rewarding. The Ukrainian teachers are heroes. They live through the war daily and give their all to the students. ❤️🇺🇦
@jtknoxroxs@MariahCarey As the mother of an autistic child who found his place in theatre, I absolutely love Knox's joy and enthusiasm. I also appreciate the music teacher's love and respect for Knox and the others.❤️
Today one student chose the soldiers of Ukraine, who fight every day and night for their country, as her favorite superheroes. Another student chose an outstanding classmate.
I'm very happy the program with the university students in Kharkiv will continue next semester. 🇺🇦🙂
Here is a touching poem written by one of my students in Ukraine. It is a very personal look at the war. President Zelensky and the Spirit of Ukraine indeed deserved to be named Time's 2022 Person of the Year.🇺🇦
One of my students told me about this program, and I want to share it as it is a concrete way to help support Ukrainians. Volunteering with ENGin is a flexible, virtual opportunity to connect 1-on-1 with Ukrainians and help them learn English.

I enjoyed sharing a presentation about the American education system with faculty members at Kharkiv Municipal Academy for Humanities today. It also gave me a chance to learn more about the education system in Ukraine. #ELVirtualEducator#VirtualEducatorLife
Here is one more additional verse to the song Humble and Kind by another creative writer in Ukraine.❤️My students amaze me every day. #ELPrograms#ELVirtualEducator
I love the creativity of my students in Ukraine. Today we listened to and talked about the song Humble and Kind. Then the students wrote one more verse to the song. What great songwriters! ❤️
